The Views on this video is 3500 so 3500 ppl heard that a Ceiling should be installed before a Roof. So This idea is False as Ceilings are an Interior Finish, Interiors are installed after the Exterior Works are complete. The ROOF is the Exterior so if you want a Sarking to be exposed then the T-111 goes on top of the Rafters. The Rafter Works seem neatly done spaced at 2feet centers. The T-11 is next on this. Then DPM Damp Proof Membrane which can be Felting. Next is the Laths. Then Sheeting using Fillets.and Galvanized Washered Roofing Screws. There is supposed to be Approved Drawings sealed by Local Municipal Council with these and more Details. You mention Workmen which seems to mean you have no reputable Contractor.
Thanks for this detailed explanation, like I said I told the roofer how I wanted the inside ceiling to look when finished, and that was after he sent me the pictures,he told me that it’s too late . I was expecting all of what you’re describing here thank you! I’ll be sure to pin this comment 👆🏼
Your house is moving forward nicely. I love the roof. it's not what you wanted, but it's still beautiful. It makes me wonder how the one you actually wanted would have looked... all in all, very nice indeed.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! I was referring to the inside, I wanted the exposed wood. My contractor told me it was too late and I would have to do drywall ceiling instead. Thanks for the support ❤
This is one of the very reason why Property 888 was developed, not only for the several innovations it seeks to bring to market, but to secure vetted contractors, vetted developers, vetted lawyers, with their profile to be listed on the website strategic partners page, so that members of the diaspora as well as locals, are not subjected to the many ills of building or purchasing their home. Jamaica is not exactly the place for high levels of innovation, but one should not give up.
@@oceangrey8796 Not really , I live in Canada for over forty years , both my children were born here and I have a wonderful wife . Canada has been good to us , leaving the islands was one of the best things I did in my life.
@@smlifestyle1811 They do thatin the USA too.. I was remodelling 3 bathrooms and the contractor ordered excessive materials. I had to return some stuff and when I looked on the receipt it shows he got credit based on how much stuff he orderd from Home Deopt and although it's on my credit card he got the creit on his account. He had $17,000 worth of credit. He was trying to get me to purchase the higher price stuff so he would get credit. He wasted so much material . Makes be upset. Now I know and I order the stuff myself. If it's short I'll go back and get more. We have to watch the budget. They don't care.
Work men are not designers. I had problems in the USA with them too. They know how to do the work but the actually design you have to be there to direct it. It's best to have somone who specialised in roof to do it.
@@smlifestyle1811 What you need is a project manager who oversees every aspect of the project . That discussion about the roof construction is so juvenile it is not even funny .
some of them raid u spend the extra money to do the same work over n over. don't u have some one say to over see the work on the house while u r overseas
Honestly maybe I didn’t know how to explain it to them, but I did sent them pictures of how I wanted the exposed wood, they told me it was too late. Thanks for watching!❤
I don’t understand why Jamaican roofers keep framing the roofs and then putting on the final roofing without installing plywood and felt paper the zink will sweat and cause mold and result in leaks this practice needs to stop
There’s a lot of videos there, but I’m not sure there’s one of the foundation. I don’t know if they’re not capable of doing the work out because I bought way too many. Thanks for watching!❤
