A transgender student, a man who identifies as a woman, debated Michael Knowles on the issue of transgenderism at the University of Wisconsin- Madison.
that Mans point was exactly that... i never heard him saying "Im Trans" rather "Im a biological MAN wearing a dress and leggings" Im not positive He was actually Trans, rather just trying to do a "Gotcha" on Michael... and proving how pointless it is to do so.
@@Dapryor They believe that men can get pregnant and give birth so that question won't deter them. So in their minds if a man identifying as a woman then that "woman" can then very possibly die of prostate cancer. You're trying to ask a reasonable and logical question of a deranged person. All laws of biology have gone out of the window with them.
My God will you all stop copying other comments. This same comment is all over RU-vid. The same damn comment. Come up with your own comments. It's not that hard.
@@sowhat599 “Dear Trans Community: Don’t tell me I have to accept you for who you are when you couldn’t even accept yourself for who you were and still are.” There, I put the words in quotations so there’s no confusion. Something’s are worth repeating.
Yeah and whats the deal with that Rachel woman who tried to claim she was a black woman? How come she isn't allowed to play make believe and gets yelled at from the same people who support transgender but these men wearing dresses and such are allowed to play make believe? The left makes no sense whatsoever.
It makes more sense to say "I was a male trapped inside a woman’s body until she gave birth to me”. I've never heard of a woman giving birth to a man.🤣
I lived on a farm growing up where someone stuck a goose egg under a hen who was setting on eggs. She raised him wonderfully, but his whole life he was afraid of water and didn't honk like other geese, but made weird short, sharp noises like he was trying to talk chicken. He was kept with the geese but spent his time leaning up against the wire fence that divided the geese from the chickens, making his weird sad little "herky" noise. That's the only time I've ever believed in this "one thing identifying as another thing" being a legit thing. The rest is some unfortunate emotional/mental crossed wires or something.
@@DaidriveCJi think even liberals know he’s a man. They’re just too worried about feelings and being accepted by these people. I really don’t understand it. All they talk about is equality. If they want equality then they should seek moving to a communistic country. Not everyone is equal and life isn’t fair.
What a sad individual. No amount of dresses, make up, or wigs will make him happy, or a woman. He needs to attack the root cause of his behavior and start being honest with himself about who he is.
this is the crux of the issue. These people have deep seeded loathing of themselves. Putting a dress on might make them temporarily happy but fast forward 5 years and its still a guy in a dress. Likely in a butchered body.
@@ryanmccafferty8196 For starters, Michael didn't demand that everyone take him seriously and require that others pretend he's a chick. A ridiculous notion which requires that people mock them.
@@ryanmccafferty8196 When he wore it, he wasn't arguing he was another gender. He literally was adopting a costume for a role, because he had to for his studies. The difference is that he's acknowledging that it's an act.
During Shakespeare's time, many male actors played the roles of women but they didn't belive they were women. This guy is just trying to be a jerk. He didn't really want to ask a question, he just wanted to insult Michael. Pathetic.
There is nothing worse than to argue with someone that is only looking to attack your character, instead of asking logical questions and providing valid arguments.
@@ryanmccafferty8196 he tried to attack his character with the questions about him dressing like a woman and the role of the gay guy when he was an actor. Also, when he asked him if he is afraid he will be attracted to trans woman, again, no logic argue there, just trying to attack. His questions were completely irrelevant.
@@JavierCespedes90 His character was not attacked. He was being criticized for his lack of consistency. If Michael can act in a gay film and wear women’s underwear on screen, then why would he have a problem with what other people wear? It’s funny him saying that transgenderism should be banned when he himself has worn feminine clothing for a queer themed film.
@@ryanmccafferty8196 Because he was ACTING in a movie. Nothing to do with the objective consequences of people living in the transgender delusion. It's like asking Al Pacino if he is ok with being a drug dealer and murdering people because he played the role of Scarface...
@@JavierCespedes90 I don't get why if it's about trans you can attack for appearance but if it's about the person talking about trans people all of a sudden it's a deviation from facts and logic and a personal attack on their character. Like isn't that what the entire trans argument is about? An attack on their character because you don't like the group?
You can tell from the body language that some people ask questions without listening or a genuine interest in taking into consideration what the speaker has to say. Kudos for Knowles for being honest with this guy.
Knowles was spot on. The people around you can have a significant impact on your life. While honesty and goodness can uplift you, lies, deception, and wickedness can hinder your progress from people. In this case, the man's belief in the gender ideology sphere is causing confusion and disorder for himself and the people around him.
Michael makes a great point here. Almost all of these activists resort to "You're secretly gay" or "You're secretly trans" or "You're secretly attracted to trans people". The fact that they use their own 'identities' as an insult should be a wake up call to them.
feel bad for Michael in this clip... he was seriously trying to connect with that "blind sheep" but rather then even listen to a single word of what Michael was saying, He was doing something worse then even thinking of the "next come back" rather, just had a list of things to say on His phone that He simply read off each time He had a second to speak... People like that kid, they are all the same... He will never grow or advance or mature in the world, because at the young age of "Under 23" they already know everything about life and its infinite intricacies.
Well he was somewhat refreshing though. At least he wasn't screeching and interrupting. As they go, he is probably one of the more respectful I've seen.
@@superdavies5548 while i do agree it was nice to see one of these people not devolve into a child throwing a tantrum I saw 0 respect coming from this guy... never even acknowledged a single thing Michael said, in fact as i stated, basically just read off the few lines he wanted to say from his phone. While basically pretending Michael had not said a single thing each time... just waited for the "sound" of Michael talking to stop, then say his next line... Being polite and waiting your turn to speak, is not the same as giving respect lol
I think the majority of these people know they are never going to compete in life as a man so have the easy option of living as a woman where men are expected to go easy on them and protect them.
Michael Knowles handled that situation beautifully - he treated the trans person with respect and compassion while remaining true to his own beliefs with integrity and honesty. Even people who don't agree with - or like - what Michael Knowles says must recognise the genuine warmth and sincerity in his voice in this interaction. Maybe the trans person will reflect on his responses later and at least appreciate his integrity and empathy.
Trans *identifying* student Calling them a “trans student” cedes the premise through their language. It’s a fact that they say they are trans, but they are not trans because no one can be that. It’s not a real category of being.
I don't agree with all of what Knowles says--I personally don't care who dresses in what way--but he doesn't dodge the questions and is straight-up about his opinions.
As soon as that guy mentioned the guy acting part I was like, "did he just self-gotcha"?? He is literally comparing "ACTING" to being trans, which is implying that he IS ACTING as a woman, and not a real one😂
So, if I'm a white person and I masquerade in black face, that's offensive and must be stopped, right? If I'm a 10 year old white kid dressed as a Native American chief, that's offensive and must be stopped, right? But if I'm a male who thinks he's female, that has to be affirmed, protected, and all of society must conform to that person's mere feelings and ignore what biology books have been correctly teaching for centuries? Since when does the mere thinking or feeling of being a woman, constitute a woman?
You can tell the guy was trying to be witty and clever… but his delivery was terrible and none of the humorous beats landed, so he just came off as awkward and pathetic. Michael picked up on the attempt at pointed humor, and leaned into it enough to get the crowd actually laughing.
Him noting Michael's notion of 'being able to distinguish between men and women' does bring up a good subject. From a distance or at a glance, it can be difficult to tell whether someone is a man or a women depending on what clothes they are wearing ahnd their physique, but upon closer examination it's very easy to tell men and women apart. Someone could even go to great lengths to appear as the opposite sex... But that doesn't make them the opposite sex, as it isn't just about appearance. Having clothing that is separated by sex is helpful in distinguishing the sexes in a society that wears clothes, because they are indeed separate and different.
Worth mentioning, I dont often comment on these things, but kudos to the questioner for not interrupting or screaming. Seems small, but often the people asking the question dont allow for an answer, fair play to this man for letting the question be answered even if he didn't like it.
Good point. Pretty much everything he said was ridiculous, but he was quite well mannered compared to other people in those situations who clearly don’t know how to engage in actual dialogue and think they win simply by shouting down the other person.
I commend and admire Michael for his expression of genuine concern and kindness to this unfortunately damaged individual. That is how these matters should be discussed.
1. Propose loaded question with supposed "facts" that implies more of a smug statement 2. Receive a rational answer that contradicts prior understanding 3. Without any further logic or statistical evidence to cite, resort to ad hominem attacks, circular reasoning, emotional baiting, anecdotal accounts, and/or strawman fallacy Every single time.
Michael - "What makes a woman a woman?". Man - "The way they think.". Michael - "How does a woman think?". Man - "The way I do.". Michael - "You know, I think that might be right in this case.".
@@MizrahiChick Exactly my point too. My sloppy pun was on the irrational thinking that leads to the conclusion. I was expecting the ladies to slam me hard but I haven't gotten hit yet.
I love how Michael speaks clearly and coherently. He doesn't mock or ridicule the young man asking questions, he answers in a straight forward way by speaking the truth (something that guy needs to hear more of).
Don't like the title of this video. Michael was very respectful and handled the question perfectly. It's a possibility that the man would go away and think about it, but now you've wiped that out with the disrespectful title saying he was owned. facepalm
Between this and Michael’s appearances on the Whatever podcast he’s becoming one of the best examples of how to talk to those with whom you disagree. He does cede any ground takes every job in stride and calmly explains his answers.
That guy is so uncomfortable. He was told he could be a woman, so he wouldn't need to be a man. Because that's hard for guys of a gentle character. Society failed him. His parents, teachers and friends. They should encouraged him to be a man in his own way, instead they fed him lies. It's so sad, actually.
