I’m 72 today. Never did I think , alongside my prayer journal, ide have a HUNGER JOURNAL. that I write down my thanksgiving for the little food I have left, but what I do not have yet,, I spend longer in the store putting things back ON THE SHELVES,, than I do going thru the isles trying to choose a few things I can afford. I get $23 a month in food stamps. I try to Make that stretch. But it is these past few years,, that I feel We are being crushed. I’m Praying for change,, praying for a President who can help Make a change. Stop the crushing of seniors/ families/ hungry people.

All of us are struggling right now its very sad my grandparents are in a similar circumstance. Biden has completely ruined the country just with the inflation rate alone it has to be over 30 percent in total at this point in 3 years. I hope things get better for you if you need extra money they have gig apps where you can do jobs for a few hours a week its sad to see someone over 70 have to do this but maybe try doordash or uber. There is also programs for older people to receive free food services where you don't have to work they just bring you meals.

I pay taxes on my income. You pay taxes on your income. Why should waitresses not pay taxes on their income? Most waitresses earn more than others on many other jobs. I've known waitresses who can bring home a couple hundred a night in tips. Yes they need to pay taxes. Just like the rest of us. Personally I don't think anybody should pay federal income tax but as long as we do. Then waitstaff should as well. Besides none of them report all their tips and don't pay taxes on a large portion of their income.
