The word “racist” has lost its meaning at this point, and it’s sad because when people actually ARE racist, it takes away the effect because you hear that term all the time in context where it shouldn’t belong.
I thought she respectfully asked her question and listened to his reply. Danesh very plainly and eloquently responded. This kind of response is what helps young impressionable minds “grow up”
It takes them longer and slower to learn. I finished in year 10/11 and have working in the mech trade industry since. Most these dumbies havent worked a full time job in their life by age 30 but think they are the smartest becauae they got a certificate. I got them in grade school they mean nothing. I'm sure I'm dumber now than when I went into college. I hate that I let that happen but there is nothing for it now. I'm pretty sure any intelligence I lost is not coming back.
Jared Meadors : It’s beginning to develop Jared, the fact that you now realise the ‘ education ‘ you received hasn’t helped you progress is the first step, my guess is you’ll be fine, keep an open mind, filter the dross out, question things that you’re unsure of, be prepared to listen, and accept differing viewpoints, and stay sharp, and be happy! 👍🏻
At Nineteen I thought that I knew everything in the World!!! However it took me the next 50 years to find out that if fact that I didn't know everything!!
Many words can be used as a tool for obfuscation. Things that need to be obfuscated, that you don't have any facts or that you don't have any knowledge.
So...she didn't hear him say ANYTHING racist, but she still calls him a racist. Excuse me, young lady, but it is YOU who are the racist - not Mr. D'Souza.
she had to guts to at least debate him.... and conceded gracefully. most ppl who throw around slogans and shove posters in your face won't debate an opposing view on an intellectual or academic level... and when presented with evidence opposing their erroneous views... will walk away. i'm coming to realize how many ethnic communities., not just black, are being hijacked by the politically left. as thomos sowell has said..."racism is alive kept on life support by the left".
Lmao yeah they try to come up with complex ways of asking simple questions to imply such high intelligence... yet very few can independently process information 🤔 and scrape up their OWN opinions using their own minds.... my how far we have fallen...
@@itcantbetruebutis7778 I guess they miss the part in education where debates were encouraged in both primary and secondary schools and students were asked to prepare to defend what they do not personally agree with to show their ability to growup. I missed those days when I left secondary school
Gimme a break, she brought up a topic for discussion. Others might have similar questions. His response was aggressive (he was probably offended) and cliched. Did you ever ask a question of a lecturer when you were at university? Should she have remained quiet and maintained ignorance or worse, misinterpreted his message? I
What you have now are a bunch of over-educated people who can't think for themselves. They can parrot what the progressive teacher told them they have to write down on a piece of paper to get the degree but they can't think for themselves. Being educated even with an Ivy League degree does not mean you're intelligent.
I think that most people are tired of it, of hearing it, of hearing the term thrown around as the boogeyman and used to justify inane and insane behaviors and judgements and arguments. I agree that we (I hope all) want a civil and human conversation, and the freedom to express ourselves without being shouted down. I myself see so much hatred being thrown around, and unfortunately I see that whenever I try to have a conversation with political overtones with someone from an opposing viewpoint, I listen to them, politely, think about what they said, and then when I try to give my response or view, I am shouted down and talked over. So yeah, there are many of us who are just as tired of this. We are tired of the over use and inappropriate use of the word, and the charge. It would be wonderful to be able to go back to having discussions. There is a middle ground on almost every topic. You can actually agree to disagree with someone, and the sun will not explode. And even for those who choose to be unmovable on their ideas, whatever they may be, at least you can be respectful of yourself. Screaming at people really does not change hearts and minds. So, yeah, I agree with you and I think we are all tired of it.

Dinesh never disappoints. Keep on trying to educate America! And keep on making your brilliant documentary films. You are truly an American treasure and continue to educate us!
Seriously? She had a concern. What he is saying is an indoctrination of the left is in fact NOT. What he is saying beyond that is partially true. Don't think you are educated, until, you understand it's entirety. Of course he will try not to say, in an audience. The 'left' as he says has not put pressure, except to where the right has irritated. This has happened on many fronts. For example, Trumps accusations on birther and religious issues with Obama. Osama bin laden, and more. The 'send her home' chants promoted by the radical right (which they are radical). Down to the love of money, which influences all who undervalue what freedom actually is.
He didn’t say a thing that isn’t obvious to a 12-yr-old lol. Are Trumpies so clueless that they learned something from his comments? Pray tell what was it?
That was she could say publically that Dinesh is not racist while saying later to her friends, that he is still racist. Marxists know double speak well.
They usually ask folks at these events to have their questions pre-written. It cuts down on time drastically when you don't have to wait through a bunch of "uhhh" and "ummm" pauses.
If you took the time to pre-write your question and hopefully critically think and edit it then you'd be able to remember it and ask your question without reading directly from your phone, unless they have the memory of a gad fly or maybe the intelligence of one.
I'd like to hear anyone in this audience expound on well, literally anything they want to except "racism". Because I'm curious if any of you ever talk about any other subject in any serious or meaningful sense ever. How these young people today ever let their hair down smile & have a beer & just shoot the breeze about generic everyday stuff. Movies, sports, babes, fishing, cars? For the love of God, do these folks truly actually think that they're oppressed? If so, then they need to stop what they're doing right now, & book themselves a flight to some foreign country, then another, then another.......... I'm a retired Marine, and I can assure you they I believe, would be stunned to their core. Racism has at this point dropped to such low real actual levels that the Democratic party and their P.R. dept the media, have to come together every 4 years and start up another nationwide campaign to summon the spirits and all the usual totems and symbolic elements they keep in a big warehouse somewhere and over the course of a year or year & a half start production on am industrial scale of as much Racism as they need to continue their long con, of America the land of racism. It's really amazing that they continue to get away with it. I think however that their Vulcan death lock grip on the minds of Black guys and ladies say 40 and under is starting to slip. I believe in spite of 4 solid years of except for Fox News pretty much 100% negative coverage of his Presidency, that this President will collect a higher pct of the black vote than any Republican President ever has, and I also think he'll shock people with Hispanics as well. Having witnessed what we have across America this Summer. Literally every urban environment or large city has invited left wing rioters and ANTIFA to come in and take over their cities, & pretty much told their police to go home, we don't need ya. The police? Stunningly seem okay with it, and that more than anything is so disappointing. Maybe tho, it's simply the media choosing not to give the American people a real and truthful account of the high stakes poker game that's being played, and that they in fact are players themselves...... As a conservative American citizen, I feel at something of a loss. Like the game is rigged against me and those who think like me and for all our faults, we aren't racist. The media however have the bullhorn, the cameras, & the stage to maintain the narrative at will & not even allow themselves to be argued with or debated. That's hatespeech, bro...... I'm not optimistic really. I mean, best case is Trump is re-elected & then we get 4 more years, all of which will be their team screaming racist, fascist and Nazi, at us. Our team? Same old, same old we're not allowed to speak. They own all the media, and social media, and the networks and Hollywood. Whatever they don't like, is Racist and Hate. Worst of all to me? They don't have the humility to possess a sense of humor so as a result they're the most miserable humans walking the Earth.
Nothing grinds my gears more than when someone says something, clarifies what they said then society turns around and tells them what they actually meant.
I'd have to disagree with you. Someone can purposefully imply something, without explicitly saying it. Therefore you can call out the implication of the other person and make it explicit. Otherwise you could always speak in implications and then when someone disagrees with that which you implied, you can always fall back on "I didn't say that". Well no, you didn't say it, but you damn well know that you implied it.
Modern colleges don't train their students to think critically, but to follow from a common script so they can be a collective. Thus, because they're trained for groupthink instead of a developed mind, they can't construct an argument without a reference to what the consensus is supposed to be, whereas a developed mind can just make something off the top.
Some....not by any means all or even the majority. She reminds me of myself when I was young. I knew..... everything!!!! Stop worrying about what others are doing. You are looking for gratification in your own "correctness"...
Its the generation we the people will have to watch and avoid hiring or dealing with until one day they become teachers for a college and teach another generation.
It is so depressing, to think they are the future. Hopefully they live long enough and experience enough to change their thinking before they sink our nation.
i feel she was looking for someone to take her hand and accept her there. its not that easy to just forget all the bullshit youve been fed to 24/7 in a split second.
She was reading his quotation verbatim, which is the correct and respectful thing to do, here. You're using this comment section to vent, without bothering to critically think about what's being said, here. Like, I get it! I know how it is, we have hundreds of videos at our fingertips, the vast majority of which involve D'Souza telling students barely fit to form complete sentences let alone accuse this man of racism. But she _didn't._ That's the thing! Watch the video again, and this time try paying attention instead of believing every incendiary clickbait title at face value.
Lady Mercy it wasnt respectful or logical. She read something irrelevant then accused him of hiding behind not being white to hide his racism... you idiot.
@@ladymercy5275 the one thing about "thinking critically" to the nodern education syztem means don't think or question for yourself, think like us then you're thinking critically.
I honestly believe that whoever she is, she was forever changed that day. And then it solidified when she watched the viral video over and over again. It’s clear that she felt maximum humble lol. It’s all over her face. She learned and understood a life’s lesson in that moment.
So why can't a black or Spanish or any persons of color not be racist? Because personally I've seen and have heard all ethnicities being racist! For example people of color saying all white people are racist! That right there blows the theory that people of color can't be racist! The fact of someone saying that people of color can't be racist is racist by the person and people that think like that , they are basically saying I'm not and all you are !
Some people get nervous speaking in front of crowds and will forget what they wanted to say or ask. Personally I think it is better that she read it from her phone rather than getting up there and completely forgetting everything she wanted to ask.
She's reading his quote, you moron. You ever notice you righties are so out for blood that you find the most pathetically mundane bull shit to whine about?
"I must concede that I did not hear anything racist and I appreciate that. So I must thank you". This statement is weird in and of itself somehow. So these people think racism is such a prevalent occurrence, that anytime you think someone might have racist tendencies, that now you should thank them when they prove not to be. We're living in a South Park episode.
Translated from Academic speak to plain language- Girl: people told me you're a racist. How do you respond? Dinesh: What did I say that was racist? Girl: Nothing.

@Rellog, have you any idea what the backstory is on his conviction? It was pure political BS, yet you can still pass along an opinionated comment, on a subject you know nothing about. I believe she asked for clarification of the statement he made about NOT being racist because he and his wife are of color. He in fact clarified somewhat. She did NOT accuse him if anything. Why anyone calls her a snowflake being taken down is inacurate. He and she are involved in a legitimate and respectful Q&A.

She thanks him for not saying anything racist. There it is. She thinks he is racist even though he said nothing racist and her explanation is he held back his racism for which she thanked him. You can't imagi e how this level of ignorance and being a student are compatible.
She also has issues separating what she expects, which D'Souza pointed out, versus reality. She is basically saying that she still thinks he is racist even though he didn't say anything. She was trying to corner him to 'reveal his true nature.' Another point she didn't consider. Her use of that quote is out of context. For all we know D'Souza was talking to a person who was accusing him of being out of touch with other people of color and using them as a platform to get famous at their expense. Since she took the quote out of context, we don't know what its original purpose was. However, that too could have been a trap which D'Souza wisely avoided by instead focusing on the present. She likely would have countered with accusations of hypocrisy because there are situations where certain things should be said and done and others where they can't be.
Well if all her friends and teachers tell her he is a racist, she's gonna think it's true. His actions and answer proved her friends wrong and i think she is genuinely pleasantly surprised by that. She now found out her friends are full of BS and she may start thinking for herself..

I think that will be the era when a woman can get a man sacked from his job because his gender offends her and white people will get arrested for pointing their heads above eye level.
I don't think she is THAT smart. She is repeating what she learned to ask in classroom [or for what is more time appropriate, online], without counting in the affect she has by voicing it without her own common sense filter. They are told to believe what they learn. And not to think about it and build an own opinion first
But she had to qualify her answer saying she did not hear him say anything “explicitly” racist leaving the door open for interpretation that she believes him to be implicitly racist regardless of what he actually says.

Its exactly that dynamic....only diff is that there are many folks 30+ who engage in this intellectual dishonesty
No. That's wrong. You didn't hear what the woman asked. D'Souza's point was that in the event that woman is met with unfair accusations leading to calls for censorship, she can do as D'Souza did, and point out that open debate is the panacea for unspoken sentiments aligned with lazy bigotry, imagined or otherwise.
