​@@LocalMapleHow does getting rid of a stadium/tool help EITHER of those matchups? Raging Bolt, practically, plays with what's on the board. It doesn't need anything fancy. Dipplin has Pigeot that's on a stage 1 that's gonna allow you to chain 4 back to back stadiums. Lost zoning, or even just bumping it naturally, doesn't prevent it from being there?

@@aaronwishard7093Raging Bolt plays Ancient Booster. That card prevents status conditions. The original comment explicitly named that card. Can you see why Vacuum helps with that matchup? If Bolt doesn’t play Stadiums, Jamming Tower would be the more reliable card. But Vacuum can be searched by Arven. Festival plays Festival, and usually doesn’t play Cyllene or Roseanne. 2 Artazon into 2 Vacuum get rid of them all. Also, by taking up 1 Thwakey to search out the Stadium, they lose momentum searching for other cards they want to secure the victory. Especially when as shown in the video you can Froslass and Counter Catcher to put the Thwakeys on a timer, meaning every search matters.

In any deck list that exists on LimitlessTCG, aka anyone that's gotten a top placement in a tournament. It's shown up in 0% of the lists. So you're absolutely right. If someone decided to clog up their deck, instead of playing it straight, then it COULD be an issue, except again you're chasing ghosts at that point. "Jamming Tower is more reliable if they don't play stadiums, but Arven searches out vacuum" well surprise surprise, except not really. Raging Bolt plays Jamming Tower themselves! At least more often than they play Ancient Booster Capsule. Just 6% of lists have it as a 1 of. As opposed Pokestop that's in 50% of lists, as a 3 of. And then you talk about the exact math I just spoke about in my initial comment. They play 4 Festivals. You're saying "well just bump the stadium 4 times", I'm again saying that doesn't matter when their game plan is literally take 6 KOs on your less than 100 HP stuff, over the course of 3 turns. It's why Survival Brace was in the deck. So yes, every search matters, but I play Dipplin. The counter to Froslass is literally just play faster than the damage is being put down. It's not impossible.

As for your Thwakey claim. Thanks for agreeing with my points without realizing it. As LDF’s deck currently stands, he has 2 Festival bumps. And as shown in his video: item lock prevents Buddy Buddy Poffin, Nest Ball, Bug Catching Set… All of which alongside Froslass forced Dipplin to play at a slower speed. We are both right that whoever plays faster wins; stadium bumps are an extra trick Item Lock Froslass can use to slow down Thwakey. And I don’t have enough time or patience to also prove you said nothing that disproved all the reasons behind my stance which you didn’t realize, so I’ll just give one. The point of having 4 bumps isn’t just to take out 4 Stadiums. It’s also for the fringe cases where they prize a Stadium, or where you prize one; either way, you want more consistency to remove the Festivals they can play. As stated above, the more Thwakeys you can waste on cards like Festival (and Applin instead of Buddy Buddy Poffin), the better VenoLass’s odds of winning become.

Depends on what you need/want. Venomoth provides a layer of disruption beyond item lock in the form of confusion. But as LDF kinda pointed out in the 2nd game. Even with weakness, flip enough heads and that doesn't actually matter. Banette has a better 2nd attack. Speed Wing isn't a terrible attack, especially if you hit for weakness. That's easily 200 damage under those circumstances and a decent closing move. Banette also gives up 2 prizes. However it can also survive longer than Venomoth.

Depends, banette has more results but Venomoth is better into stuff like drago, Zard & raging bolt

I'm not sure the extra 30 damage you can put on each turn is worth losing the consistency you get from having 2 bench spaces open for Dudunsparce.

While I agree the deck desperately needs a draw engine that doesn't get pinged by Frosslass, your damage output is very low. So 1-2 Munidori moving 3 damage each per turn is actually really helpful to accelerating your prizes.

@@GreenMonkeySam So I've played half a dozen games with the list and I really don't think it's necessary to have the Monkey. Went 5-1 and the only loss was due to bricking completely whilst my opponent drew the stones. Once you get the Venomoths rolling opponents generally don't know how to handle it.
