I've been saying for years that they work really, really hard at their craft, but I'm beginning to think I'm wrong. I'm beginning to think that they are just SO good that this is easy for them. That Mitch can just toss off that "Roof is falling" thing at the start without taking his mind off what he had for breakfast. That Kirstie can just effortlessly chime in with "falling" on the right pitch and make it sound like it's still Mitch singing but at the same time NOT Mitch. That Avi can just open his mouth and perfect bass lines drop from his lips on their own. And Kevin and Scott and on and on. They just are that far beyond mere mortals.
3:03 the little high note Kirstie does right there gives me chills every time! I used to think that Mitch was my favorite out of the group, but over time it's turned into me loving Kirstie. She does so many awesome harmonies that fill out the songs perfectly. Not to mention that her whistle notes are god like. Like, Mariah Carey level whistle notes. There's a video of her just messing around and doing the Emotions run.
It sounds so simple all together but it's all so freaking tough to pull off! Kevin, too -- the beatbox was absolutely off the hook, tying it all together.
Also, one thing I love doing during re-watches of these videos is watching Avi through it. It's so nice to see his little smiles in every video (well, except the ones where it's supposed to be a sad song, of course). He show so much love for what he's doing, and besides, he's got a beautiful smile.
"How are they making the noises? HOW ARE THEY MAKING THE NOISES?" That right there needs to go on a PTX t-shirt asap, lol .That comment sums up my entire PTX experience. Love your reactions.
Terrific reaction ! I LOVE Mitch and here Mitch just shines. No enhancements, JUST TALENT, and their passionate sounds. Their performances are gorgeous, even "live" !
The truly impressive one in this is Kirstin. She has to basically sing two different alternating parts to everyone else's single part near the end of the song. Her voice isn't the strongest in the group, but she's an absolute genius when it comes to harmony.
hahaha i love you and your reactions. but literally same!!! i love this song a whole bunch and HOLY CRAP THEIR COVER WAS INCREDIBLE. btw the 'lyrics' (as far as i can parse them, thanks to mitch's singing), so to speak, are: "roof is fallin, let me love, fallin', i just know. roof is fallin, let me love, 'thout ever letting you know." but no kidding, i went into this like 'how are they possibly going to do the chorus', same as you, and they WILDLY exceeded my expectations. that final around was just. WAS JUST. I'M JUST. [mind blown] their timing and pitch and whatever else technical terms, are just--wildly spectacular. it's magical.
This is me right here. This is just the most astonishingly amazing cover I have ever seen ever. I think every reactor needs to watch this because I would watch it all day every day for a month! I will never stop being amazed by this cover and never get sick of watching people be equally amazed! Thank you for doing it!

Wow! You are saying everything that we all are thinking. YEP! Their covers are really better that the originals. I don't think that it is easy. According to Avi, they would rehearse 8 hours a day. How is it possible to get these covers wrong with that sort of dedication. Plus, they have so much collective music background between them all, I'm not surprised that they can figure out what goes where and why. I'm gonna keep watching you. You are truly honest. Autumn, what i love about your reactions are 1) you pay attention, 2) you don't jump all around, 3) you provide continuous but objective comment, 4) you provide a final summary with feeling, and 5) you are a Pentaholic. What more can I ask for. Oh hey! The Gold cover was amazing, and I have never heard the Kiiara version. Mitch's voice is a gift from God.
So i wasn't as impressed until I went and looked up the original song (I'm out of the loop in a lot of things by my own choice; keeps the anger down) and now I'm totally impressed.
Finally a reactor who was familiar with the original song. When I saw this cover pop up I was like "OMG...WHAT WITCHERY WILL THEY DO FOR THE CHORUS" and then I heard the first five seconds and I just had to pause it and be like excuse me
I guess I take their talent for granted. It was awesome to watch this again through your eyes so I can truly appreciate it for the technical brilliance that it is. Don't get me wrong, I've had it on repeat since it dropped. But damn, I have a whole new level of appreciation for it. PS, you rock!

I was waiting for your reaction lol I'm glad you were speachless over it , as it blew my mind away too, and I'm so obsessed with this song. I think its my favourite song ever, cover or not by PTX. It is genious arrangement, but I simply can not get over ,how perfect, sweet and pure Mitch voice is in it. I didnt have any expectations, as I havent heard the orgina,l before I heard this cover. But it is simply perfect.

I would really love it if you would do a reaction to their new video hallelujah I watched it and I truly believe that it is the best song yet. And that's saying a lot considering just about every single song that I have heard them do is phenomenal. At times I'm at a loss for words at the talent that these five young people have.
It's not noises in their case, it's just words. It sounds like noises when you run Kiiara's voice through an autotuner. Mitch: Roof is Kirsti: Fallen Scott: Lemme Mitch: Lemme Kirsti: Fallen Mitch: I just know It's just cut up words from the rest of the vocals. If you know what the words are you can repeat them.
