Watching ARCANE Eps 7-9 and I Can't Believe What I'm Seeing! *** FIRST TIME WATCHING *** 

I definitely feel like one of the biggest ongoing themes of this show is that things get worse when people refuse to compromise. Real progress only happens when seeming opposites work together, like Jayce and Viktor, Cait and Vi, Vander and Grayson, Ekko and Heimerdinger, etc

I love that you picked up on the fact that Vi doesn't love jinx which is why she says to Vi that she changed because Vi used to unconditionally love her even when she messed up her haul in episode 1

One interpretation of Vi's "A real monster showed up, and I just ran away" line is that Vi thinks she was the monster, after slapping Powder in episode three.

Maybe just a thought on Mel. How I interpreted her, was that she did use Jace quite a bit throughout the season for her own power/influence (maybe even in an attempt to be the fox). But her mother showing up might have been a bit like a mirror. And seeing how close her and her mom's plans were aligned might have facilitated some reflection. Anyway, thanks for the series. I really like your reaction style.

Animation and story was great, interested to see where season 2 goes.

Sevika is underrated. She's loyal to the cause, not specifically to Silco. She's also honorable - she could've killed Vi when Vi was down and had that vision of Vander, but she waited until Vi got back up. She could've had her people mob Vi but instead she told them to get out so it would just be her and Vi. And in an earlier episode after she got her ass kicked and was literally hung up to dry by Jinx, she still gave Silco good advice about Jinx. No, I don't *like* Sevika as a person. But as a character, she's great and underrated.

As far as Cait and Vi there were a lot of clues in these last 3 episodes but the bigger ones are in ep 8 when Cait asks "what about us", then VI saying "forget me. It wasn't meant to be" after they shared that moment in the bedroom scene where Vi opens up and Cait just listens and strokes her face and Vi grabs her hand. Then Cait in the shower replaying the break-up backwards in her head. Then in ep 9 with Jinx telling Vi "I paid your girlfriend a visit this morning" That one is right on the nose. Off topic.. Jinx just sat there and watched Cait take a full shower before kidnapping her. Which I suppose was really nice of her to do. Jinx has 2 issues with Vi A) Vi can't accept her as Jinx. Which you picked up on and a lot of reactors don't B) Jinx can't understand it's possible for Vi to love her AND Cait. Yes I'm a Violyn fan( Violet/Caitlyn ). I'm a straight male and I enjoyed watching their romance build a lot more than what Mel and Jayce had going on and they had full on sex scene. I think it should be noted the scene of Vi and Cait on the bed happened in the morning and their presentation to the council which lasted a whole 5 minutes was at night. They had a lot of time to kill. I suspect something went on.

23:52 Yeah, everything you're saying about how it's not a black-and-white world is so true. That's what makes this show so compelling for me, personally. Even the worst of characters have believable motivations and aren't just simple villains, and the best of them end up doing some questionable things that make you really think. Even Silco wasn't a simple, mustache-twirling villain, he had a LOT of depth to him.

And then 3 years to wait......😢

Victor is a character in game, and if they're moving toward that depiction then let's just say he's got a dark path ahead of him. I have a suspicion that as Ekko shows him around the Undercity, Heimerdinger is going to start feeling bad about how cold he was with Victor. At that point it wouldn't surprise me if Victor started his villain arc.

See, you say that at the end about Vi not saying she would love Jinx, but... Is it so wrong if she can't? Jinx is a murderer and a terrorist who has been complicit in many crimes against both Piltover and the people of the undercity. If she has no interest in changing for the better, why does Vi have to become a WORSE person just to appease Jinx??

it's truly upsetting how the show keeps focusing on sadness and hopeless war but I mean.. it's on point 😅 the videogame focuses solely on war. I just now realised too that they called it "the lanes" cause the map in game you fight in lanes lmao

17:05 being a noxian bodyguard must be the easiest job ever. If a person cant protect themselves, they are not worth protecting. So you never need to do anything. xD

So sad that you have to wait 2 months for season 2. I've waited for 3 years.

I think Sevika is dangerously not loyal, at least not to those who she deems a leader. The minute her ideals don't match that of who she follows she will jump ship. Silco asked if she was tempted, her words were, "not for a worm like him". Excuse me? So... if it was someone else??? That's a red flag right there if you ask me. She has no problem killing those she doesn't agree with. Her loyalty is to her belief, and sadly, people's belief can change from their experience.
