As someone who was watched about every single sml video since 2013ish. I really just miss the videos where Logan was still in his mothers house doing videos just for fun. I always get super nostalgic when I even just look at a room in that house
literally this.. this dumb mario plush channel really defined a big part of my childhood and seeing what's happened is just depressing. The content nowadays feels so meaningless it's like it was made to be keys dangling to get the kids to buy all their merch while back then the content felt at least passionate and not like this monetary garbage.

Modern SML is something I put on as background noise whilst I'm drawing or animating and I'm just listening to it hoping that something interesting happens. It's like that feeling where you feel nostalgic about a game but then you go back to it and then you realise you just miss those old times.

I remember doing the same thing last year. (Expect it was for EVERY video. Up to the puppet videos that it) But after a month I couldn't mentally do it anymore and quit 💀💀
The main problem is how tight the schedule is for the videos. A new one comes out on average every two days because of us don't really have time to refine the stories or do anything interesting.

That’s the thing I hate most about modern sml the overused stereotypes seriously chief pp, Joesph, Cody, even black yoshie to a extent never acted like this and even when they did have those moments where they acted like a stereotype it didn’t define their character and become their whole personality
I loved old SML and I'm still a fan but now we only get really good videos from them rarely but I still love the cast and work and commitment logan puts in his videos

I honestly loved the sml channel when they used the mario plushies, both when I was a kid and as a teen when they still had them. Then once they got C n D'd by Nintendo and had to use generic puppets, all of the video ideas were just terrible or over used. I also noticed that in their videos these days, they always speak as if they're in a hurry or as if they gotta finish the video ASAP, like they literally have less than 5 minutes to record one scene or episode. I remember that in their other videos, the characters spoke normally and not like they have to say everything at a certait speed. I'm also tired of them using Fortnite as the only video game they ever play, like there's no other video game they can play, cause apparently Fortnite is just that good.
