This is Kacee's first time watching reaction to the movie "Friday" (1995). It's Friday and Craig Jones (Ice Cube) has just gotten fired for stealing cardboard boxes. To make matters worse, rent is due, he hates his overbearing girlfriend, Joi (Paula Jai Parker), and his best friend, Smokey (Chris Tucker), owes the local drug dealer money -- and that's all before lunch. As the hours drag on, Jones and Smokey experience the gamut of urban life, complete with crackheads, shoot-outs concentrated into one single, unbelievable Friday.

Friday just represents some of the usual characters in every hood. The crackhead, the theif, the drug dealers, the weedhead, the pastors, Jehovah witnesses, the hood chic, the baddy, the bully, the bad ass kid, the working class, the uppity...and it's always hilarious to an extent. They were just missing the cop & the white mike

I'm 45, this came out during my high school days. Man I miss the 90's. We got high while watching this at least 3 times a week my junior and senior years. Now that I'm older I love to see how those a bit younger react to such an iconic movie. I haven't watched much of your channel but if you haven't reacted to another great Cube move Barbershop I highly recommend.

24:23 I love how Craig htting Deebo with a brick is kind of a biblical reference to David taking down Goliath with a slinged stone. They both share a very similar moral: All it takes is a piece of masonry to bring down a giant that the whole community once feared of.

Love this movie! Watch it every weekend. My buddy at work and I can quote about every line. The one that I feel steals the movie is John Witherspoon, Craig's dad. That man was one of the funniest comedians around. Always watched anything he was in. Even Fresh Prince, he was Wills girlfriends father. RIP Mr. Witherspoon. I enjoyed all three of these films and recommend all of them.

HOOD CLASSIC! Grew up with this movie/series. Nothing beats the original but the rest are still funny. So many quotable quotes as well, along with the SUPER famous, "BYE FELICIA" ... fun fact, Deebo and Felicia were married ... also, RIP to all the ones in this who are no longer with us

I love this movie, so here's my Friday story. When this movie came out I was in the Marines. I was under the impression that it was a movie along the lines of "Boys in the Hood" or something like that, something serious, right? Someone ended up buying the VHS tape and we were going to watch it on duty. Well, I decided I'd watch it later, since I had radio watch that night so I could wake everyone up if there was a drill or an alert or something like that. Well, remember that I'm completely oblivious to the fact that it's a comedy. I put this tape in at two in the morning to watch it. The problem here is that the room is full of Infantry Marines that are trying to sleep. What I'm saying is that I had to watch this whole movie without laughing because if I woke someone up I was probably going to tote an ass whoopin'. After my duty was over I went to the mall, bought the VHS tape for myself, and the soundtrack. The soundtrack played on loop in my car and I would start the VHS tape in the morning on Saturday and let it run until I went to bed on Sunday night. When the tape reached the end, it would rewind and play again. It was the only movie that played in my barracks room for about six months.

12:34 Hearing a reference for the first time is something I went through when I finally watched Dexter. I was just drawn in, watching a tense scene and all of a sudden- "SURPRISE MOTHER FUCKER!". I busted out laughing, I never recognized the guy from the meme and it totally caught me off guard xD

I always said that the weed Smokey had with Hector is Big Worms weed. Thats why Craig was hallucinating and could hear is heartbeat. Smokey never stopped twitching because he kept smoking the same weed and when Big worm pulled up on Smokey in the car, he saw him twitch, then asked his if he was smoking his shit. Big Worms weed was laced with PCP.

I’m from Micronesia we have similar guys in these type of situations in our culture in every villages. 😂 we all know each other even our classmates grandparents 😂 but the only difference is America is more developed than ours. ❤God bless.
