“And you know this - man!” is a tagline Chris Tucker used when he appeared on Def Comedy Jam. He was VERY young, but he became an instant fave in the Black community. He was so funny, he naturally became a fave of everyone. So glad you loved this. SN: Red is DJ Pooh, the co-writer.

RIP to Tommy Lister, John Witherspoon, and Bernie Mack. Cube is only an average 5'8". "Deebo" character is where the 49ers football player Deebo Samuel got his nickname from by his father cause he was always taking other people's things. Looking forward to reactions of the 2 sequels! They are just as good. Vivian is easily my favorite new addition to the channel.

Growing up in the hood especially South Central Los Angeles in the '80s and '90s We didn't stay in the house too much watching TV cuz we had tons of entertainment right outside That's why this movie was so realistic to a lot of people because that exactly what the f*** we experience in one day just sitting outside You will see the most craziest s*** that you ever see in your life

Ice Cube's had a lot of fun movies! I remember seeing somewhere in an interview that the reason why he made Friday was because he didn't want everybody to think growing up in their neighborhood was like Boyz in the Hood all the time. So he made Friday to show more of the good times and funnier times they grew up having. Then he made "Are We There Yet" (which is another good one you guys should check out if you haven't already) for a more younger audience because he didn't want kids coming up to him quoting certain things from the Friday movies. The other Friday movies are good but not like the first one. I personally like the 2nd one the least and the 3rd one is a pretty funny Christmas themed movie.

I'm pretty sure you didn't get the "Zeus" middle name for Tiny Lister in the credits. Back in 1989 Tiny Lister had a small stint with the WWF. He did a movie with Hulk Hogan called No Hold's Barred in which he played the character of Zeus, The Human Wrecking Machine. Shortly after the WWF did an angle with Lister and Hogan, playing of a real life rivalry and dubbed it as 'Life Imitating Art'. And they fought each other in a tag team match at Summer Slam '89 and his partner was Macho Man Randy Savage. And this was Savage in his prime. Anyway this movie was six years after and I guess he was still trying to play off his wrestling moniker at the time.

If you think Ice Cube is small the guys from The Lench Mob were like midgets when they walked past me. Friday is a hood classic and DJ Pooh who plays the delivery guy wrote it. When this came out it was a big deal due to the hype around Ice Cubes music. Another hood classic that has universal appeal is House Party. Like all these movie series the higher the number the lower the quality, i wouldnt recommend going above the second movies really. Another accessible hood movie is How High with Redman and Method Man. Its basically a hip hop Cheeh and Chong goes to college, it spawned a TV series.
