Soojin and Hyunjin both went on bullying accusations hiatus at the same time (that’s why he wasn’t on kingdom) , since most stays are also fans of gidle, or most neverlands fans of skz (idk it’s a thing TT) this was a really big thing. Sadly only Hyunjin was the one who survived even though both was innocent, which fucking sucks. (Soojin is now a solo artist though you should check her out). When neverlands (fandom name) say that they’re biased towards all members (like your ot8 with skz) they still say ot6, not ot5, bcs people still sees her as part of the group. Most parts of the fandom still loves and misses Soojin, including the members too (there’s theory’s on soojin having “parts” in their mvs, like in nude the animation looks a bit like her, also the whole nude mv is such a soojin vibe)

There are actually a lot of similarities between skz and gidle INTERESTING FACTS G(IDLE AND SKZ: Minnie: very close friends with Lisa, there are even joint photos. They are really best friends. And I also heard that Minnie is friends with Bang Chan. Soyeon: there was a case when she was hated for allegedly stealing the melody of a song from SKZ, or more precisely from 3RACHA. But in fact, Bang Chan himself said that when they made this song, they bought the melody from someone so that anyone could use it. And after that, they decided to do a collab in the form of a performance with Soyeon, 3RACHA and ... suddenly Hongjoong (I don’t know how he got into this story) There is a full performance on RU-vid, where they each sang their parts in their group songs and at the end they sang that very song of 3RACHA for which Soyeon was hated Miyeon: as I heard, she is friends with Bang Chan, and there were many moments when she contacted SKZ. I remember when she was hosting SKZ as guests and it so happened that it was her last day as a host. And SKZ or rather IN in honor of this they gave her a bouquet of flowers, and she also recently filmed a trend with Changbin. Yuqi: there are performances on RU-vid, I don't know what kind of performance it was, but there were 3 idols performing and two of them were Yuqi and Felix (it's funny that many see similarities between them in terms of appearance, considering that both suit blonde and both have low voices in the group)

I am ARMY but I really love (G)I-DLE. Their songs are soo unique. Im not a g-idle stan but I really like their theme, song, and message. They are soo bold and not like typical Kpop Girl Group(Not disrespecting others) I Really love Nxde song. It's my Favorite. Ben Please react to it.

It's not surprising that Armies are also fans or enjoy content from (g) idle. Their versatility and the fact that they self produce their work, are two of the same reasons why we fell in love with BTS. It's also empowering seeing a group of women fight for their work and message to be shown in a patriarchal country, with BTS they were underdogs that paved the way for Asian artists to recognized globally. It's amazing to see how they revolutionize the industry similarly yet very different ways. BTS shined a fat spotlight on industry corruption. The rise of BTS was a domino effect for not just music, but every aspect or niche on the internet. An example ; Ben, Stephanie Soo, Asian Boss's sudden growth despite being founded the same year as BTS debuted, Michelle Choi, and many more. The rise of Asian stars and influencers grew expeditiously with the rise BTS. They're why labels like 88rising can exist and thrive. BTS paved the way for Asian artists, and although many would argue for BlackPink, I honestly believe (G)-idle will pave the way for women in the industry. Don't get me wrong, the women of BlackPink are hard working and talented, and I won't deny their impact for girl groups at all. But they honestly only added to girl group popularity, and they happened to be most popular one due to their more western influence. They can do empowering, but it feels flat when you remember they aren't writing these lyrics (that if you analyze aren't really screaming women empowerment, more rich women empowerment imo), and these songs are mostly produced by men, in the very same country that holds very strong patriarchal values. It all falls flat once you step back and realize that blackpink are more of a brand, than they are artists, and that's entirely because of their company. (G)-idle can TRULY pave the way for female empowerment, and giving female artists encouragement to fight for their art. thank you for listening to my ted talk lol

I agree biggest drawback of black pink is lack of their art, creative,song writing, emotions, producing there are like any other groups out there dancing on finger of labels and producer but it's different in g-idle , bp they may be popular but not unique for sure . I knew of Kpop since the early 2010s, but if not for accidentally running into Uh Oh and Oh My God, I wouldn't have stanned Kpop at all. Soyeon being an AMAZING rapper also became my gateway to Stray Kids because she was basically the GG counterpart to Changbin & Han in 4th gen rap (back in 2018-2020, idk now). I may have gotten out of touch with their recent sound, especially the title tracks but they'll always hold a special place in my heart.

All the facts about them that i know: Miyeon: She is the oldest and the main vocalist and she also one of the visuals. She has a sweet yet powerful voice and really good at singing. She is also friends with Skz leader Bang Chan. Minnie: She is also the main vocalist of Gidle. Her family is like the royal of Thailand owning many banks but dispite her being born with a golden spoon in her mouth she doesn't like to show it off. She is also friends with Lisa, bam bam, Sorn and many other thai kpop artist. Soyeon: She is the main rapper and the leader of the group. She participated in 101 but the show called her ugly (Because she didn't fit the soft features that they were looking for) She was known for her beautiful voice, the best rapping skills and power dance. She is the mom of the group. And takes care of all of the members. She also performed with 3racha. Yuqi: She is the main dancer and a lead singer. She has the deepest voice (like Felix) and she was suffering from feaver when she was like 3.. Its a long story i cant tell you right now. She is also the cutest and is the puppy (Like Seungmin...) She has been praised for her multilingual talent (Like minnie) Shuhua: She is the makane and a lead dancer. She is the most savage (Like Seungmin) And she protects her unnies from the haters. You definitely need to watch more videos of them. They’re hilarious, their music is so good, and I really think you’d love them. Soojin is now a soloist and we still miss her. The only sad thing is their contract is coming to an end soon and with what they’ve said about CUBE in the past… it seems doubtful they’ll stay with them. I kind of started to listen to ( G) DLE during the l love era, but was only listening no Nxde and maybe Tomboy. Then very soon after they released l feel, l started listening to their music and now l am most definitely a Neverland! I'm Korean but I've been in the US forever. A lot of (G)Idle's music is pretty Korean-coded meaning that they seem a little cringy to non-Kpop fan Americans. But they do have some incredibly quirky and compelling songs as well. "Wife", "My Bag", "Lion", and "Oh My God" resonate with many serious musicians for different reasons. And don't get me wrong...I love all of (G)Idle's work.

It’s also so interesting that everything about idle is progressive but they’re a Korean pop group. South Korea is a conservative country but you’d never guess that as someone who only listens to gidle (as kpop).

i watched how yuqi got interwied about her album and also said that she knows 24 languages and she is 24 years old so i was super suprised by that shes also really really smart. btw i was waiting for this moment forever since their my second favourite group (stray kids being first obvi)
