I get why Catelyn did it. Cersei would have killed Sansa (and she believes Arya too even tho we know Aryas escaped) if she found out Jaime died as their prisoner. In her mind, letting Karstark kill Jaime would not bring back his son but letting Jaime go could save her daughters.

You're right. One of my favorite things about this show is how large Ned Stark's shadow looms over this entire show, even all the way through season 8 to the end. His presence is definitely still felt.

Catelyn got a disabled kid and another younger one who are on the run now which she's unaware of. Her being away from home might have saved her, Rickon and Bran, cause she messes up everything. And now Robb is slipping up for this foreign woman, he should keep this woman on the side and marry for the bridge. The northerners' isolation from the rest of Westeros has hurt them, they can't play the social and tactical game even if their lives depended on it because of their extreme honesty and stubbornness. And they don't think about the consequences of their actions. Ned left his family in shambles because he wanted to expose the Lannisters, was it worth it?

For Catleyn, as with any other Mom, it's ALL about HER kids first. It's primal. She can't even think straight - she is desperate to save her kids. She is blinded. Makes her sympathetic and dangerous.

Cat should have gone back to Winterfell to be with her younger kids. The people respected her and she could have helped Bran. That Winterfell theme at the end is so good, it's one of my favorite pieces of music from this show. The next episode is one of my favorites.

Tyrion is the youngest. Cersiis the oldest, then Jamie.

I think what's important to understand is that Catelyn did not make the decision JUST to save her daughters. Littlefinger planted that idea in her head, but she would never have freed him without Robb's permission under normal circumstances. It was only when they were going to lose their ONE valuable hostage to the anger of the Northmen. Then they would have had NO leverage. By sending Jaime away, the chance of them releasing Sansa instead of harming her is slim, but it's *at least* a chance.

Tyrion gave Ros a lannister lion necklace when he visited the brothel in Winterfell. Theon even made mention of it in the scene after Ros and him are together. It's a little small detail but yes that is the moment Tyrion knew it wasn't Shae ;) perfect writing! Keep up the epic work 🤩 🤩

Please remember though that at this time, Catelyn thinks Jon is safe on the wall and cannot leave. Whereas she knows Sansa and Arya were at Kings Landing when Ned died and that Bran and Rickon were at Winterfell when it well, fell lol. I would do anything for my alive kids over a person's deceased loved ones, there is nothing you can do to bring theirs back.

Catlin Stark is a pain in my ass straight up!, I have to say tho, this to me is where Jamie starts to get interesting. He is such a awesomely written and played character. He is complicated... arrogant, terribly flawed, and then they go flip mode and switch it on ya..... You then start to sympathies and understand his point of view. Theon as well is very interesting in a similar regard. I wont say anymore but pay particular attention to those character lines.

Also something that's mainly a book spoilers/semi theory but what makes all of Tyrions shit that gets thrown his way Tywin is a hypocrite and most likely sees women of the night and even has a biracial daughter

Theon's sister is among my fav characters. The first time she's introduced you think "WTF?" but she turns out to be a cool character (even more so in the books where she has a bit more presence). I think you guys started warming up to her in this episode 😊
