I agree about you needing to see the Tom Holland lip sync battle and also needs to watch the Jenna Dewan vs Channing Tatum one lmao but also man keep coming with these ones you're commentary on it is hysterical😂😂😂
As Someone who born in the 2000s I felt so much pain during this video thank Alex continue being awesome and seriously your reaction here was priceless😂
6:19 the fact that this song is known more from Jason derulo than imogen heap breaks my noughties heart. 😭😭 At the very least recognise it from SNL dear sister skit!
When you said "The 2000's was my childhood from 6 till 16" made me go "Oh shit mine where the 90's in the same agebracket". If you feel old after this, I will feel ancient!
I love these music trivia games! You should do movie quote trivia too. ❤ It’s amazing how many I didn’t know. That Missy Elliot song is dope. I like that one.
I was born in 1997, so technically Gen Z, but also that weird middle ground between Millennial and Gen Z. I knew all of these songs, though when I first watched the video on the REACT channel, I mistook Stacy's Mom for Just the Girl I'm Looking For by a group called 'The Click 5.' 🤣 Then I was like, "Those kids would have no idea who that is, and they try to give them stuff they hope they'll know." 🤣
My teenage memory lane is littered with music by Bob Seger, Kiss, Journey, Styx, Van Halen, Flock of Seagulls, Nazareth, CCR, Bowie, Queen....the Best of the Best.❤
Dudeeee, defintely I said on Fall out boy song, "Shame on you Alex" and then you said "Oh you'all gonna f*cken hate me" 🤣🤣 Good to know, you notice who is your fans ahahahah, I laughed so hard! I love this new reactions to Gen-z BRO! keep the good work in your channel!
I still live on this music as well as rock music in 2000s. Just everything 2000s really haha so I knew them all from first clue straight away. The only one I couldn't remember the name of the song was Jason derulo's one as I never was overly keen on it x
I also commented on The Conjuring reaction and will be watching your reaction to the Conjuring 2, here shortly. You're The BEST, Alex! I'm a Hef-nerd for Life.
[Refrain] Stacy's dad has got me down bad Stacy's dad has got me down bad [Verse 1] Stacy can I come over in my car-ar-ar-ar (in my car) We can change the oil and hang out in the gara-a-a-age (ménage a garage) Did your dad get back from the hardware store (hardware store) Is he there or is he reading about the Civil War (Civil War) And I know that you think it's just a fantasy But since your mom came out, your dad could use a guy like me [Chorus] Stacy's dad has got me down bad He's all I want and I think he's a real chad Stacy, can't you see, it's Mr. Stacy's Mom for me I know it might be bad but I'm in love with Stacy's dad [Refrain] Stacy's dad has got me down bad Stacy's dad has got me down bad [Verse 2] Stacy do you remember grilling on your la-a-a-awn (on your lawn) Your dad was there with just his apron o-o-o-on (apron on) I could tell he liked me from the look he had (look he had) And the way he said, "You want some mustard on tha-a-a-at?" [Chorus] Stacy's dad has got me down bad He's all I want and I think he's a real chad Stacy, it's not you, I'm just kind of into dudes I know it might be bad but I'm in love with Stacy's dad [Chorus] Stacy's dad has got me down bad (got me down bad) He's all I want and I think he's a real chad (driving me crazy) Stacy, can't you see, it's Mr. Stacy's Mom for me I know it might be bad but I'm in love with [Outro] Stacy's dad, oh-oh, oh-oh (I'm in love with) Stacy's dad, oh-oh, oh-oh (wait a minute) Stacy, can't you see, it's Mr. Stacy's Mom for me I know it might be bad but I'm in love with Stacy's dad sub-radio the superior version of the song.
Gen X'er here; I knew seven or eight of the songs but not until I heard a few more seconds of the songs; with the exception of Eminem. My personal taste leans heavily toward rock but I do listen to other genre's so this was a challenge for me. I'm not mad about it though. Alex, you might want to slow your roll on reacting to these kinds of videos. I thought you were going to burst into flames from the frustration. 😂😂😂😂
adults ten years younger than me say the darndest things. like, describing a "childhood anthem" as "that was my life" as "iconic" but they can't name the artist or the song. but it was soooo important to them.
I'll provide the old guy commentary and remind you that the way you're feeling now is the way I felt when I watched your first Slipknot reaction video... I've been a subscriber since...
Me as a 40-something absolutely bombing this. In my defense, I spent the second half of the decade in law school/working at a big firm, so I was completely oblivious to all pop culture.
I think I’m most impressed that a Gen-Z person even knew the name of “Shadows of the Night” and who Pat Benatar is than anything else in this entire video.
I'm a 1997 Central European (Czech) and I knew about a half of the song and only one by name. My English skill were pretty poor in the 2000s so I couldn't understand any of the lyrics back then.
I got Fall Out Boy but not the name of the song and I got "I'm Like a Bird" after the clue but I really didn't know the majority of those songs (maybe there's a slightly different market over here and I was heavily into metal and avoiding pop music...).
Made me laugh when you said her chest movments are making you uncomfortable. As the early developer who got very busty very young it's like what are you supposed to do? Feel ashamed and live like a stiff board? Not our fault lol
When Stacey's Mom came out, I thought this song was gross because I thought it was talking about my grandma! Due to the fact that my aunts name was Stacey 😂😂😂
The beginning of the 2000s was when I got into metal and almost stopped listening to anything else. That's probably why i could guess only a few of these songs and those were mainly the hip hop ones. Where was P!nk, she was my favourite at the time. Her first album was fire! When they played the whole songs, I knew most of them. You can't escape mainstream music 😄
I’m just here to read how many “Oh my God!!! You haven’t seen the Tom Holland Lip Sync video????” because I immediately thought “Oh my God!!! You haven’t seen the Tom Holland Lip Sync video???”
Okay, my mind went to "Walk This Way" when I heard the drum sample in "Umbrella", but then I remembered what decade we're guessing from! Feels old... XD
“When you think you can sing” lmao Guess we the same age my guy, knew all the songs except for the name for the Taylor Swift & Gaga song. I knew them tho! Haha Alright, idk that last song either.
