If you think about it, it makes sense that Ahkmen-Ra can control the other museum exhibits because he (and Rexy) are the only things there that are real. Everything else is wax or stuffed or miniature figurines. Ahkmen-Ra IS the actual pharaoh whose tablet brings everything to life. He was just preserved as a mummy for thousands of years. And remember the old museum guards said that the tablet’s magic makes them feel young again, which explains why he isn’t like a zombie when he wakes up. This movie is very well thought-out and underrated!

Two things: One, because of this movie, people were actually visiting the museum--or museums--more, which wasn't the filmmaker's intention. The red headed lady at the job place was Ben Stiller's real mom, Ann Meara. The old guy that showed Ben around was Dick Van Dyke who was in Mary Poppins. Micky Rooney the grumpy old guy has made many movies with Judy Garland singing and dancing. The tiny people tying him down is like Gulliver's Travels. The bronze statue is Christopher Columbus. The big statue that wants gum is from Easter Island.

I've seen this movie a dozen times and I still forgot Paul Rudd was in this. Also, Ricky Gervais has one of the best comedic energies in this movie. Love Owen Wilson in Loki, but it was nice rewatching this and seeing him again in one of my favorite roles he's ever played. The Joy when you saw Robin, bro this is up there in my top favorite parts he's ever played. This whole series is so underrated. I really hope you'll react to all the movies not just this one. I think it's so clever how these characters are hyper aware of how they came to exist. Roosevelt knew all about the tablet and was able to adaquatly fill him in in a way that the previous night guards failed to do. This movie will never get old.

This is actually a really solid family movie, I agree. It’s never a “favorite”, but in retrospect it had a fairly original plot, but simple and easy to follow, and reasonably investing. It’s a well-balanced movie that makes sense on its own terms, which I can’t say for a lot of major movies in the last 15 or so years-certainly not ones that are also fun and wholesome without speaking down to kids too much.

@@monsterhanna6691 Well, atleast in Sweden, if we guard One place, we usually do so because the technical, mechanical or personell protection barriers are defect. Larry is sitting here every Night, going around and checking locks and locking Doors. In reality though he wouldnt probably be there every Night, since they would have cameras or something instead. What I mean is, security guards doesn't sit in One place during Night time, unless something is Broken. In real life he would probably Patrol about 50 companies per Night, and would spend maybe 20 minutes at this museum doing outer and inner observations. Then again I'm Still learning so I might be wrong. Also, in Sweden you'd need education before you were set in to work. Which Larry doesn't have. All he has is instructions. So i would see him more as a janitor, than a security guard actually. Based of his tasks. Hopefully this made Sense. If not feel free to ask more. Also take everything with caution, as im Still learning.

As much as I loved this reaction (yeah, shocking, I know) I can’t wait for Battle of the Smithsonian! In my opinion, it’s the best of the franchise and Amy Adams kills it as the leading lady (not going to say her name for spoilers)!

I've worked at the American museum of natural history for 3 years and its so much fun! Top 3 questions we get is 1.Where is Sacagawea? We don't have her in The American Museum of Natural History. I seen a couple get torn up over this because they flew out just to see her, but a quick google search will tell you what we have. I felt bad for them, so I gave them a map and circled a few places I like to roam during my breaks and they got back to me and loved being there! They planned on coming back the next day I wasn't there, but I hope they enjoyed that day too! 2.Wheres Dumb Dumb? 😂😂 He's located on the 3rd floor in Margaret Meade Hall of Pacific Peoples and he's called The Easter Island Head. Number 3 is more of a statement and I take joy in correcting people about it because the joy on their faces when I tell them gets me excited every time " Y'all should have the night at the museum" We actually did. It's been closed because of covid, but we use to have adult ones and ones for kids. You get to stay the night and roam around the museum. You get food and a cot and aloof other things!

Jim Carrey's Grinch or The Mask, and especially Bruce Almighty would be really fun movies to react to if you're checking out more live action comedies now! Also pretty much any Jack Black movie! Master of Disguise with Dana Carvey is another good reactable movie in a "SOOO bad it's amazing" way.

theres a mid credit scene you missed with the guards being made to clean the museum as punishment, Gus gets angry at Cecil, and then Cecil later dances like the dance legend Dick Van Dyke is RIP Robin Williams and Mickey Rooney
@rolo7110
@rolo7110 2 года назад
Two of the older guards, Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke, are classic movie stars. Mickey Rooney was a cinema star since he was a teenager and Dick Van Dyke was in famous movies (Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) which I highly recommend you see. Robin Williams was in the sequel to this movie and it was very bittersweet. I think you would really enjoy the sequel. The museum director is Ricky Gervais, a well known British comedian. The woman at the employment agency was Anne Meara, Ben Stillers’ mom and a well known actress herself. The prince is Rami Malek, who starred in Bohemian Rhapsody. Love this movie and so nice seeing it through fresh eyes!
