What I love about Elizabeth is she can go 30 minutes plus breaking down a 5 minute song and give you so much information. She is so entertaining. Plus its fun to watch her because you can literally see her mentally breaking down a song through her facial expressions. I love her!
its also fun watching the ones where something happens she didnt expect or like her tenacious d tunes where shes giggling along with it jsut are so fun to watch
The only problem with her videos is that they're 30 minutes plus... and that's also the best part about her videos, they're really good and insightful but ain't nobody got time for that.
I can usually just do something else and listen to her videos and get so much from them- I listen to her sometimes while driving (Hawaii traffic sucks!) All except when her and Will Ramos gets together! I have watched the video of the camera going down his throat a few times- her husband and him cooking cracks me up each time, But when those two react to sleep token- they gets so excited and it’s just pure love for the music - I love it
I started watching her because I had an interest in singing, meaning I've done karaoke. Now I've learned enough, and started practicing what she says, I'm contemplating reaching out to a local guitarist that I met to see if we can do some public performances. It's incredible how much I've learned in watching her break downs.
Nik & Jarred - Guitar Stevie - Bass Sam - Drums Elizabeth - Vocals Tank - Manager DUDE what a band that'd be. Not sure if that selection was intentional, but they'd sound great together
Nik and Elizabeth did a song together. Dropped a few weeks ago on the Nik Nocturnal channel. "How to Write a NIGHTWISH Song (feat. @TheCharismaticVoice)"
I love the Charismatic Voice. Seeing her go from starting out reacting to metal for the first time to interviewing metallers at metal festivals was incredible! And she gets it. She can appreciate the vocal talents and styles for what they are and what the artist intends. I think she's fan bloody tastic.
If you like Elizabeth Zahroff (The Charismatic Voice), you'll probably like Julia Nilon too: same in-depth technical knowledge, just Australian instead of American. She's actually visited the USA and done collabs with Elizabeth. They're WELL worth watching.
@@mikeakey3358 Yep. Her reaction to Pisces by Jinjer is one of the funniest (and that's a decently high bar). Also her and Elizabeth freaking out over Ronnie James Dio's vocals in Stargazer is gold, even though it's long.
Tank was talking about the Blue Ridge Music Fest in a video. He said he was representing Electric Callboy so I gave them a listen. They suck miserably, but I guess it’s a job🤷🏼♂️
Key of Geebz is another awesome channel - he does a great job of describing how a composition is put together and produced, super chill, interested in everything
He is awesome! I’m so glad he decided to stick around. Last I heard from him he was leaving YT, just looked at his channel bc of your comment… and he’s been back at it for a while now! Woo!
Because you were talking about the grandfather of metalreactionchannels I had to think automatically about 2 rockin Grannies. I also really like Rykerroad and the breakdown with Nath&Johnny because they are hiliarious. And then for me there‘s Knox Hill. I know he is actually a Rap/Hip Hop reactor but he does the same great job with Metal reactions and I don‘t know any other channel who does lyrical breakdowns like him.
Yeah, FMV is my immediate go to if her and Elizabeth did a reaction of the same song. Alex, if you haven’t experienced fairy voice mother, I’d recommend her Jinjer - Pieces reaction as a starting point.
Im totally with you on Elizabeth. Not only is she knowledgeable but she is just the sweetest person. Also you can see her visually trying to work out what is going on. Also with her recent friendshio with Will Ramos she seems like the big sister who is looking after the hyperactive litte brother. Their friendship is so sweet.
The Nik Nocturnal crab pose originated from the legendary "Crabcore" meme, which stemmed from the music video of the song "Stick Stickly" by an Electronicore (what the genre is ACTUALLY called) band named "Attack Attack!"
Thank you for all the great comments, Alex! Even deeper, after all these years I finally got to interview David Draiman to talk about how he came to create this masterpiece. A dream come true since I started this channel!
My favorite I guess call it “vocal coach” reaction was from Madeleine Harvey on Pisces by Jinjer. Just because she really went into detail about the vocals and how Tatiana gets there. Really good reaction.
I always thought that reaction channels were the lowest of the shittiest low effort, but somehow I ended up subbed to about a dozen of them. Shoutout to Elizabeth / Brad & Lex (love the musical journey here) / Wings of Pegasus (sort of). I would add Rick Beato & Justin Hawkins, but they both go so far beyond reactions it's not even the same planet. Oh, and yourself.
ditto - and I get suggested new ones often which I don't keep coming back to, so there's clearly skill and personality that goes into the ones that I sub to, right?
Great video, although I'm saddened by the lack of KeyofGeebz. His composer ear doing "decompositions" of music has been some of the most influential for me as a person wanting to learn how to listen with a more critical ear.
Wow. You and The Charismatic Voice are the only two I subscribe to in your list. Though I do watch Tank every once in a while. I'm way too old to get "maternal energy" from Liz. ;) That Sam drummer video was hilarious.
I'm a guitar player and I watch Elizabeth (Ch Vox) and I find it interesting to see an opera singers perspective on some of my fave songs. She's come to appreciate killer guitar players from a new angle for me. She's excellent. "Good, Tank. Yeeesss. Let the anger flow..." He needs to not hold back as much. Let 'em have it, dude! 😁 With the Samus drummer knocks, to be fair, I do many of those as well. Especially YYZ! 🤣
Alex As I subscribed to your channel, I subscribed Elizabeth (Charismatic Voice) channel because she gives her professional analysis on each song. Plus, Elizabeth also hosts interviews with those talking about their songs.
I am a musician who has been a recording artist for 29 years, and has been singing on stages for 27 years. I've studied music theory, and am a classically trained vocalist. I am a self taught metal vocalist as well. I've taught classes on how to scream metal vocals, and also am a vocal coach for both metal and non-metal vocals. I also studied linguistics because it is the study of where in the mouth or throat various sounds are made. It helps to understand how to create certain sounds. Elizabeth and I both live in Tucson, but I have never met her. I love watching videos of people gaining a new perspective on music they've never heard before. Your channel, and some of the others you featured in this video are great, each for their own reasons. Keep up the good work!
The Fairy voice mother, Tara Simon, The charismatic voice, Nina Scofield, Julia Nilon, Beth Roars, Anna Vaskalenainen, and wings of pegasus are the ones I go to first because they really analyze the voice. Oh, and anyone that reacts to Angelina Jordan
With the focus on "Metal" reactions I was sure kadavox acadamy would be here. He is the metal singer, and metal vocal coach, so he actually knows how to make the sounds, and know many of the bands and people in the industry.
Samus was a additional drummer in Abigail Williams. I recommend hearing Acolytes, Floods or empyrean into the cold wastes by Abigail Williams.. because Samus provides the drums for those songs. Acolytes is a fucking banger of a metal track. And Abigail Williams as a whole. Is a underappreciated metal band
He may not be considered as a heavy metal reaction channel, although he listens to anything requested but The Wyldeside with Eric Clark is amazing & unusual because he describes bands & songs like no-one I’ve ever heard before. Especially when he’s describing Nightwish (my all time favorite!). Although is 2nd most popular is Ghost Love Score, you should give a listen to his latest Nightwish reaction to “The Siren”. Please look him up!
5:38 When I first heard Slipknot 800 years ago I said “they’re so scary AND I freaking love the masks” The people who get Slipknot, I feel have had a lot of struggle in life and those that don’t, simply don’t get it.
The reason 666 Sammus's video is so popular, is the fact that all drummers (myself included) do this almost inadvertently when knocking on doors. It's just so stereotypical. It's hilarious to all friends of drummers too. Just observational humor.
I really like 2 rockin Grannies channel. Nana King and Granny Hayes are the best! And wow, i was shocked to not see No Life Shaq, but then again i know for a while he wasnt listening to that much metal.
01:04 - The crab stance comes from a well known and beloved meme in the core community. Actually the whole Song has become a meme even tho it's quite good. Attack Attack! - Sticky Sticky Give it a listen :D It's a classic aswell as the Pizza Breakdown, the ARF ARF!!11!!11!! and the mosh at Denny's
Hey Alex, greetings from UK I wondered why I hadn't watched 'Jared Dines', '66Samus' nor 'Steve Terreberry' before, but then I did a search on their channels for "Nightwish" and none of them seem to have done a reaction to my favourite band! "What is going on?" I ask myself... Is there something I should know?
16:03 The joke is that AC'DC's drumming is incredibly simple. Like.. novice simple. And they do the exact same drum pattern in every one of their songs.
The Question Guy - in retail in Australia we call that person an Askhole - someone who asks questions then has no interest whatsoever listening to the answer haha
Great idea and love the content… I know it’s unlikely but you need to listen to Coinz. Either his warm up sessions or Mad about Bars with Bam Bam. Got real meaning in his raps
Hilarious!!!! I especially like the Slavic Squat!! Sweet. This was a great idea, please do more of this! Been watching for a minute.... always love your reactions. You're sarcastic personality is much like my own. Great job! Thanks! ✌ Jodi/Child of the 60s
I love your content. Small critique/ask. Could we get a link to the video/s that you you reacted to so that we can show the original creators some love too?
Tank's right - music IS subjective. Like what you like. There shouldn't be anything such as a 'guilty pleasure'. My musical taste is all over the place, folk, ska, classical, metal, dance, pop, comedy music, blues. Hitting shuffle on my hard drive is a wild ride.
I watch a lot of reaction videos. And while a fair amount of it is “normal” reactions, A LOT of them are reactions by vocal coaches. I certainly don’t know as much about singing as they do, but I know enough to understand what they’re talking about and learn a lot from them.
ALEX, u have been a Slipknot fan for such a long time, and yet u NEVER LISTENED TO "THE BLISTER EXISTS" and "THREE NIL"????? some Slipknot gems that don't get enough love, also it's from 2004, 19 years ago! Also Listen to System a down self titled songs cmom: MIND and War?(audio, not music videos) PLEASE
@9:55 Love how her 2nd most viewed video, is the one I hear most reactors mention when they view a Lorna Shore video. Or really any band with a harse vocalist, for that matter.
Crab stance comes from the music video from Attack Attack! for their song Stick Stickly. Slavic squat is the same thing, just without the movement Attack Attack! did.
then there's that uncle that is a perfectionist in Zach Ansley! He's a nice guy, and legit wants to help singers get longevity in skngjng, but it does rub off the wrong way to plenty of people.
"....that want so get a to get longevity in SINGING" well, he can't unload due to the fact of copyright, and actually death threats that went his was due to his abrasive personality.
Hey Alex, i know you enjoyed some songs from From Ashe To Knew, and they released a new album ! Hope you will enjoy those songs and maybe we'll have some video reactions :D
Also, I believe Ronnie Radke reacted to Elizabeth reacting to one of his sons, and he said she picked up a lot of stuff that nobody else has and really liked her
Is this meta? I think this is meta, or some semblance of it. RU-vidr reacting to other youtubers reactions. Purdy awesome and trippy. Greetings from Sweden!!
I'm so ashamed to be labeled as a "Gen Z" I'm the FIRST year of Gen Z and my god, every one of these people are so out of touch for the most part. I LOVE metal, ALTHOUGH I will say im not a huge slipknot fan, i respect the fuck out of them and I have liked some stuff they've put out. also, the Disturbed cover of "The Sound of Silence" is INCREDIBLE and one of the best covers i've ever heard. The grit, the power, and the sense of urgency provided by the cover was what the original was lacking. so well done.
