10,000 Likes on this video and I'll drop a Part 2!!!! Thank you guys so much for stopping by the channel today! I know you're busy, so it really means a lot. In life, I’ve learned to build the community. Spread the love! Jesus, there’s enough negativity going around!
You gotta check out Key of Geebz. A Reaction Channel thats only about a year old, who does Reactions from a Engineering perspective. The Daily Doug is another Reaction Channel that does things from a Composers perspectives.
Your comments are excessively sweet. I just do my best to bring as much honestly and learning as I can. Whatever comes out comes out! I am humbled at our growth, both channel and community, and wish everyone else the same success! Thank you, Alex!
Oooh! Could you react to Breaking Benjamin please. The singer is so unique and he's one of my favorites. "Blow Me Away" would be a great one in honor of Halo's new stuff.
You're 100% my favorite "vocal coach reacts" type of channel. There are a couple of other vocal coach channels I like, but you're always so thorough and I enjoy your insight into how the voices actually sing.
As if we didn't love you enough before, Alex. Thank you for the feature and the advice. You're one of the greatest reactors out there, so an endorsement from you is an honor. I'm sure everyone else on your list feels the same. We're honored to be mentioned along with them as well. Hugs & cookies for you!
Love these ladies! Also love that they actually interact with their subscribers. Not saying you don’t Alex or other reactors don’t. But these ladies respond to just about every comment I’ve made on their videos and that goes a long way with me!
I can’t wait until Elizabeth discovers Tori Amos & Bjork! (There are a few others I’d like to see her discover, but those 2 would be VERY INTERESTING.)
Thanks for including me, dude! And don’t worry, I’ve been aware of my doo doo camera for a while now. 😂 Appreciate the kind words and the critique! Also, I actually enjoyed the concept of this video and how you actually talked about different channels. I mean, let's be real, a lot of us that do content creation talk to each other about what we think of other people's content all the time, and you just did that with the camera rolling.
Love your channel Tank! Always amazing content giving an insiders perspective to all the gear used. You should definitely do a Sylosis video as well as a (heavy) Opeth reaction. Keep well dude! \m/ Horns from South Africa!
I love that you’re featuring other reaction channels, and you’re so positive. Elizabeth is my favorite! She’s the epitome of real, and America’s sweetheart!!! Her professional background gives her a one-up on all of us “emotional” reactors! You’re not too shabby yourself tho😉! I dig other channels too. Lately Peter Barber, Tauri Reacts, David Heretic, Jim Games, and Jacqueline Van Bierk. Also love how you keep saying “AUTHENTIC” bc I found out if I’m myself, I succeed. Since day one, my channel was called Just Jen bc it’s just me being me! What you see is what you get! There’s waaaay too many fakes in the world, the last place for any more of that should be RU-vid. It’s in the name Y-O-U!!!
Hey, Jen. I love watching your videos. Sometimes I get emotional, specially with that Faliing in Reverse saga. You know, reaction videos are not dumb. "Reactors" are just friends sitting by our side, watching/listening to something we're so excited to see them reacting. You're a friend.
@@TacticalNomadGaming you know what, I tend to listen to positive vibes only. I don’t throw shade. So no, I don’t care if he throws shade at anyone. That’s his opinion. Doesn’t mean I like him any less. Doesn’t mean it changes my mind what I like and don’t.
@@JustJenRx I've watched a bunch of your reactions and I love how genuine you are and how emotional you get with it.. Also, you're simply beautiful.. Keep doin your thing.
I am IN LOVE with Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice. She geeks out on a level matched by NONE! Her knowledge is quite profound and I must say that she is quite easy on the eyes. I am also a Lost in Vegas fan. Wyatt Stav is an incredible drummer however he loves himself more than any other human possibly could, lol.
My guy is Jamel aka Jamal. His channel also opened his eyes and ears to other genres of music and now his favorite band is Rush. He's all about spreading positivity and helping others, along with "Keeping great music alive."
KEY OF GEEBZ!!..Retired musical Composer...calls himself "The Decomposer"..breaks down songs and points out "nuances" you may not have heard before in the song!..Hes got quite a TOOL collective!..One of the "TOOL ARMY" favorites!..Brad and Lex are great! Lex has so much energy!!..Sebs Duran is really a nice guy!!! Jamel is just a GREAT HUMAN!! Bo Pacino cracks me up!!! BTW..great piece on 2 Rockin Grannies...but you missed Trash Talkers!!..They are awesome too!!
That's so awesome I just butchered my own comment about this guy because I really like his channel I'm glad other people are speaking up about him and yes let's go tool army
It’s really cool to see you feature other creators and talk about what you would do with their niche. It shows how talented you are at your craft and it’s given me a lot to think about for keeping my own videos interesting. Thank you Alex!
Beth Roars is a good one too, she's another vocal coach that breaks down the voices behind the music and... yeah, i think she's hot, so sue me, but that does not detract from her expert analysis of the songs
@@rasawyer SAME! Beth is awesome! I was bugging her for months to do Jelly Roll "Save Me" Leaving a comment on every video, being polite of course haha. I even signed up for her Patreon and suggested it. Then I gave up 😩 About a week after I gave up the video of her reacting to Jelly Roll popped up and I was finally at peace 😂. Her face when he starts singing is priceless!
@@OldSkuleNerd I'm a big fan of your reaction videos! And I do not think you are and old fart.🤣🤣 But that could be because I'm biased because I'm a Louisiana girl and I'm either the age as you or older then you. 🤣🤣🤣 But seriously, your reactions are fantastic and so real. I have massive respect for that. And I'd like to say thank you for your service!
BIG thank you for giving Mr. Video his due credit!!! That guy seems like one of the most genuine, funny, and kindhearted guys I've seen on RU-vid - somebody you would really want to hang out with in real life. Check out his reaction to Napoleon Dynamite - it might just bring a tear to your eye.
If you like Elizabeth for her being Elizabeth, try also Beth roars. If You like Elizabeth for her competence as a musician, try also Daily doug (already mentioned below). Long story short, try both ;)
Hard to leave out Julia Nilon in this list. She hasn't uploaded much yet, but she is damn insightful and really gets into whatever she is listening to.
This man here is smart to do this, not only building his channel but shouting out all other react channels it's crazy how this react stuff has become so big
Rob Squad Reactions, Jordan & Amber, are incredibly authentic. It's great to see them bounce off of each other. When Amber gets into the groove of a song it's fantastic. It's wonderful when they bring their daughters in as well.
Absolutely!! One of the best up and coming channels out there! They are the definition of authentic! They also are eager to explore music genres they've never heard before. Fun watch!
They're lovely. One of the channels that I find myself wishing they could do just a little bit research about music - the instruments, the history etc. There are so many great documentaries out there that could really increase their understanding of music. I guess I prefer the more knowledgeable reactors, which is an entirely personal opinion :)
I believe one reaction RU-vidr that deserves a huge shoutout is Jamal_AKA_Jamel. Not only he reacts to Music, TV shows, comedies and other things, he's actually a real down-to-earth human. 😎
MRLBOYD reacts is one of my favorite channels to visit. I think he's hands down probably the best reactor to really break down a song. Super mature and formal and has a very relaxing vibe
I'd definitely recommend checking out Julia Nilon and Key of Geebz. Julia is amazing at analyzing everything vocals related, it's as much education as reaction, really. And Key of Geebz (aka the Decomposer) is just a very chill dude with a nice sense of humor and self-irony (:
Other than Elizabeth, my favorite vocal person to watch is Beth Roars! She's so invested in the music, adds great musical commentary, and being cute with a fantastic accent is a plus too.
Julia Nilon is also pretty incredible with vocal techniques and performance tips and tricks. She's also a vocal coach and complements Elizabeth from the Charismatic Voice very well. Julia and Elizabeth, for the same songs, point out different techniques and give different tips and tricks to achieve what the signers do. They are my two favorite reaction channels... And they are easy on the eyes too. ;)
and Julia is also really really funny, humble and authentic. and she can be pretty cheesy too :D Julia, Elizabeth and Tank are one of my favourites of all time.
Lost in Vegas is what got me into reaction videos. I love that they are 100% authentic. If they don't like a song they'll say it, and if they do love a song you'll for sure know it by their facial reactions. Watch their reaction to Tool - Pneuma if you've never seen one of their vids
One of the reaction channels I am really enjoying right now is Rob Squad Reactions. Him and his wife Amber have really come into their own over the last year or two. The channel is starting to take off. They have really great, genuine reactions. Their excitement for discovering music and reacting to music we as an audience all love, is great to see. Check them out sometime!
So Ive been subscribed to them for a while now, but Ive been binging Rob Squad Reactions here lately. They just seem like genuinely awesome people, and their 2nd channel where they do vlogs, pranks, and challenges is awesome too!
You left out three of my favorites Alex. I enjoy The Adventures of TNT, Alex and Andy, and Jamel_AKA_Jamal. All three are entertaining and very genuine.
Authenticity is why I came and stayed with you. I was in the OG 5k subs. Back when you labelled yourself as a hip hop head. I bounce back from many reactors pending the songs/bands they are doing. Living vicariously through the firsts. First time listening to a particular band or song. But you have such good energy and upbeat. Keep doing you brother. We all appreciate it.
Same. Way back, old sub from my old account back in the day. The positivity is uplifting and sincere. Gotta be a regular pop-up for me as I'm binging youtube
Some tips to another interesting channels: Beth Roars - another very insightful vocal coach, always happy and sweet A&P-Reacts - father and son reacting to metal videos, they are funny, also father (Pedro) doing very good interviews with metal bands and singers and great reviews of albums Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy - originally not reaction channel, but nowadays he's doing many things. Ken is a vocal coach, producer, musician. Besides reactions there are many great covers of classic rock songs sung by him or students of his vocal academy on his channel. Very competent and always positive guy
@@dougman23 I meant to add Andy & Alex to my list too. I've been on their Patreon since it started. They're always really thoughtful and give reasons why they do or don't like the given song.
Alex, props to you for this pointing out other channels (very unselfish of you). I'm not sure why but I know how a song affects me, yet I look to other content creators for a more in depth reaction from experts to break it down with an explanation. Most of your channels you covered I currently follow, yet I always refer to your style of reaction as it suits my interest best. I thank you for what you do and I enjoy your energy immensely.
Brad and Lex, Asia and BJ, Andy and Alex, MrLboyd, Rob Squad and Hefner of course. One thing I'd like to see more of is reactions to some lesser known 90s rock/alternative.
Alex, you and Lost in Vegas were the channels that brought me into this side of RU-vid. I love you and all the reactors on this video (and many more that aren't)
Both great channels opposite styles Alex has a more straight forward reaction channel style Lost in Vegas is definitely more for a music fan that likes to break down music and go out of their comfort zone and enjoy music beyond surface level personally think they are the measuring stick when it comes to the genre because of what they bring
Mr. Video was one of my first subs and he' so stoked you called him out. Genuine is not the word. Well it is the word. His content is as good or better than the actual footage of films and videos he shows. Also a big fan of Vin and Sori.
4:43 I think another thing people like about LayedBak is his voice. His voice is so soothing and is one of the biggest reasons I find myself watching him along with the fact as someone from a rock and metal background watching others of different musical backgrounds react to some of my favorite songs
Oldskulenerd is where it's at for me just a wonderfully welcoming community. A very genuine honest guy with a good message and sence of humor and always willing to give a voice to the smaller bands that you probably haven't heard of yet
Well, I was beat to the punch. Just gonna slap a like on this and say I agree. Oldskulenerd is a great channel. He checks many of the boxes Alex mentioned, but most importantly the authenticity one. Not to mention he's a fan of Alex's channel.
Good anaylsis Alex - You are one of my faves as are Alex & Andy, Brad & Lex, TBR Schmidt, Rob Squad, India Reacts, Popcorn in Bed, Dasha of Russia, Enoma reacts (from India), and a few others! This reaction phenomenon has replaced my regular television viewing!
I LOVE THE CHARISMATIC VOICE!!! Its so cool, that I'm not only seeing a reaction, I'm f'n LEARNING too. Legit, my singing skills have improved since I found her channel. She's amazing.
it’s like you looked at my subscribed to list and then made a video based off of it 😭 all amazing channels and YOUR channel is so amazing ! loved hearing your thoughts !!
😁 A channel you should check out is Rob Squad. Jordan and Amber only started a year or less ago and already have become very successful. They're great. Also the Jayy show is fun to watch. She's so so diverse with the music she reacts to. And of course your channel is always amazing😍🤘✌
The only two reaction channels apart from yours that I regularly check are these two: -Key Of Geebz -TheDailyDoug Featuring one of them in a part 2 would be great!
I'd really love to see your take on Julia Nilon. She has this amazing combination of humor, technical expertise, personability, and engagement with her audience. She has this exceptional ability to explain technical concepts without speaking over those in her audience who are not educated in the mechanics and science of singing and sound production. While, at the same time, she is demonstrably emotionally connected to the music and the performance she's watching.
The Thing i love more than this Video, is the love each reactor gives in the comments. Shows me that the world isnt a shithole as it sometimes seems. You all are great people. Wishing you the biggest success possible
The Charismatic Voice and Doug Helvering are great because they break down the music in the way it's created in a ways I can scarcely understand. It goes beyond just opinion. And I loved Alex's journey on discovering more and more Metallica.
Love watching Mr. Video. He had me hooked from day one with his reactions to music videos or just the songs. Really wish he would go back to doing those cause the dude is freaking funny as hell. His reactions to movies are just .... ok. But like Alex said, that's his favorite part of his channel. So, to each their own, huh
I love The Charismatic Voice. Her knowledge of the subject is obvious and she has a freakishly good ear for picking out multiple instruments and vocal nuances. But I truly love her facial expressions when she hears something she really likes. It looks like joy bordering on love.
AG! Mr. Video! I just love yo watch his contact. He’s always so funny and seems more like hanging out with your friends. His movie reactions are fantastic and his music reactions are in point. I also love he listens to not only the instruments, the artists and the lyrics.
Love Elizabeth and The Charismatic Voice. Her content is authentic and she is an incredibly accomplished artist herself. She’s also beautiful and her smile and laugh are infectious
Shaq is so fake. His old stuff used to be entertaining, naturally. Now he trys to be entertaining and it shows and comes across as inauthentic. Also those fake overreactions to lame bars where he stands up and rushes over to his window 🙄
@@UltimateGamerCC I agree. He’s honestly one of the most genuine people I’ve seen. He is who he is, and doesn’t give a damn if you have a problem with it.
One of my favorite reaction people that I’ve seen, and I found this guy the same time I found you was a guy by the name of Jamel Aka Jamal. Funny, down to earth, and I could see you guys do a collaborated video.
Cool idea for a reaction video .. You're definitely thinking outside the box on this one! I would've liked to see included: . The Wolf Hunterz . Doug Helvoring (classical composer) . Herm1t ... and some others, but I can't remember their names. Cheers!
I agree 100% on Mr video. That little clip of the Titanic had me rolling. He started watching game of thrones and when Rob Stark said to call the banners, he said, "who are the banners, do they fight?" I never laughed so hard in my life. He also got a shout out from Bill Burr mispronouncing a comedian's name and he reacted to it. He's definitely a dude I would want to hang out with, just like you Alex
Geez, I'm subscribed to almost everybody on your list. Nik, in particular, has introduced me to a lot of new music in the last year that I might have otherwise missed. Mark at Kardavox Academy is a really good reactor to follow if you want a breakdown of how to sing "brutal" metal vocals. Other vocal coach reactors that I follow are Julia Nilon, Beth Roars, and Fairy Voice Mother. They're all really good at explaining singing techniques. I like RichoPOV, his reaction videos are pretty fun.
So appreciate all the things you do for the reaction scen Alex and you are completely... Authenticity is something really important for a reaction channel! Keep it up bro 💪🤩 P.s. hope I'll be in part 2 🤣
1 thing I have loved about reaction channels is when they interview musicians and those in the music industry, and when they offer a secondary aspect, such as Tank with gear, and the vocal teacher ones, like The Charismatic Voice. I've learned a ton about the bands I love, and what makes them so good. Plus the interviews they do usually just seems like 2 friends chatting about music and life in general.
This is my first time, watching one of your videos. "It's Mr. Video", sent me your way. The importance, of authenticity, can not be overstated. Be authentic, while you can. Musk hasn't brain chip satellite wrangled you, yet (at least, not that I know of). Thank You, for your constructive criticism points. Where there's smoke being blown, there's fire. What? You callin' me a liar? Bam Bam, Baby! Keep on!
Andy & Alex are an excellent channel, they give every song their full due, are honest in their assesments and they have some great, funny, informative conversations
One of my favs are Abbee and Louie they have a good balance, and bit of different taste in music between the two and very wholesome metal head commentary
I would definitely like to see a part two. Some Channels to consider: Rob Squad Reactions (one of my favorites, particularly once Amber joined the channel), Beth Roars (a recent discovery of mine, similar to The Charismatic Voice in that she's a vocal coach but her emphasis is on what makes the particular singers unique), and Asia and BJ.
I hereby nominate Galacticriminal for an eventual 2nd part! Also interesting, although not a pure reaction channel is Rick Beato. Rick is deeply rooted in and very knowledgable of the music industry, especially the rock sector. He sometimes reacts to certain Spotify playlists. Also interesting but a bit removed from reacts is his "What makes this song great" series, where he takes a song a picks it apart from a producers/musicians point of view. Extremely valuable for any aspiring musician and entertaining for rock enthusiasts in my humble opinion.
I totally second this nomination! Galacticriminal was my first experience with reaction videos (While We Sleep - Insomnium). I would absolutely love to see Rick Beato, Maggie Renee and also Rebecca Vocal Athlete in Part 2! Cheers!
Rick Beato is the freaking GOAT of music reaction videos. Well to be fair, his network of channels is much more educational than amateur reactions. But man, if you LOOOOVE Music, Rick will make you appreciate it.
You, vin and Sori, and lost in Vegas are the channels that really got me into reaction videos, I just love seeing people discover the music I’ve loved my whole life. I grew up on classic rock from my mom and as I got older my tastes for rock evolved into all rock genres from the 60’s to now. Some of my favorite reactors now are brad & lex, Jamal aka Jamal, LFR family, LFR jojo, rob squad reactions, the adventures of TNT, Devon Gibson, billy YSC , billy binges, the music recording network, twins the new trend and Asia & bj
Hey Alex, if you ever want to watch a "vocal coach" type channel for metal, watch Kardavox Academy. He's one of the best in the game when it comes to harsh vocals, he knows his shit so well and describes it like no one I've seen before
One that I watch a lot of is MrLBoyd Reacts, just the way he breaks things down and the lines he catches that I would otherwise miss, and he just knows a lot. A bar comes across and he gives off a quick fact and knows a lot about history, he’s just a cool dude
@@kaidrian Oh yeah man don't get me wrong, he is amazing, I love watching his stuff! He's really knowledgeable and really picks apart what he's listening to, very enjoyable channel
I enjoy him, but I get frustrated that he only seems to react to Patreon requests. I'd like to see him branch out and explore on his own a bit more, that always feels more authentic to me than only reacting to what people are paying for. I have the same issue with the WolfHunterz.
One channel you might check out that's become one of my favs is the Daily Doug. Has the content knowledge from a composer's view and great analysis. Not drawn out either. Similar to the content charismatic voice does with the vocal approach but from the theory and lyric approach. And at a quicker pace.
Couldn't agree more. Also comes at it from an entirely different place and is a big Devin fan. He also isn't all "bells and whistles" in his approach, his deconstructions allow me to appreciate more, an artist that perhaps I may have not payed enough attention too.
Doug is the musician's reaction channel. That's why the channel has geared more toward Progressive metal/rock. 176K subs in 12 months since he started reactions.
Not only is Charismatic Voice a vocal coach she is also a Professional Opera singer... You can find her performing in front of orchestras from long before she became a reactor.
One of my favorite reaction channels is Brad & Lex. They react to a lot of metal and rock music, and I love their back-and-forth, because they're almost polar opposites, and a clear example of how opposites attract. Brad always gets super-deep trying to figure out the meaning of a song (which often just isn't that deep), and Lex just vibes with it, and rocks out to it, and describes things in ways I never would have considered. It's super-entertaining. I think that if you're not watching them, you're really missing out. :)
I do indeed like Brad and Lex. Lex blows my mind with her off the wall reactions, and the way Brad looks at her sometimes perfectly mimics what I’m thinking. My only criticism of their channel is that in my opinion, they do far too many lyric videos. I love to see the videos that go with the songs, and if I can’t understand the lyrics, I’ll look them up for myself. ✌🏼😎
@@WendyCranmer I think you have the wrong Brad and Lex? I have not heard Brad say anything homophobic and certainly not bigoted. Unless you consider a black man who doesn't understand the function of black lives matter to be a bigot.
I have recently enjoyed MrLBoyd Reacts -channel, his style of commenting seems fresh. And I gotta give a shout out to my fellow finn, Anna Vaskelainen. She does great reviews on singing (while surprisingly growling ain't her thing) and can dissect the songs nicely. I guess most of her videos are subtitled by now, give her a try.
Andy & Alex are great young guys who really understand instrumentation, music production and reallyreallyreally love 70s music. They are smart, funny and have great chemistry.
I've seen all of these, except the Grannies, and thank you for that. The reason you're my #1 is because I honestly think you are having fun, you're smile is authentic, your facial expressions Crack me up and you really analyze the meaning behind the songs and relate your life experiences to them. Also I appreciate your openness to listen to many different style of artists. Watching you makes me happy, especially when you're really getting into it. Keep it up my friend ✌
I watch you and rappers react on a regular basis. There are 2 of them, all of you really keep my interest. I watch others but none are as good to me. You were my first reaction video I ever watched and then you got me hooked lol so thank you for that. I do love watching what other people think of the music I love and I get new music I would have missed otherwise.
Always loved watching you, layedbak, TheThridErnest, Shaq, Stevie Knight, Kardovox Academy..many more..I feel like you'd love The Breakdown With Nathan And Johnny, guys are hilarious. Keep doing you bruh
I love Charismatic Voice as well. Elizabeth is so charming, but, she explains vocals so well, I feel I have learned more about the voice as an instrument than I ever did in 50 years of life. Another channel that I find myself going back to is The Daily Doug. Doug Helvering has taught me as much music theory as Elizabeth has taught me about the voice. I'd love to get your take on Doug. Good vid, man. :)
I liked how you discussed the things that you liked and disliked about the channels. As someone with a reaction channel, I am wondering if you would consider giving feedback to other channels. Not promoting them in your videos or anything, just the things that seem to work and those that could be improved. Doing so would be time consuming though, because you would have to watch some of the content... but if you're ever bored, it could be a wonderful help to other reactors. Your channel is one of only a handful that I enjoy. A lot of reactors come across as disingenuous (to me anyway) and I just don't enjoy watching them. I really like your authenticity and you've got a bit of wild energy that makes me feel like I'm hanging out with an old friend or something. Anyway, keep doing you man and take care. ❤
One of my favorite channels is Brad and Lex. Lex is awesome and has the best insight and comes up with crazy descriptions for what she’s listening to. If you haven’t seen them, check them out.
I love watching Flawdzilla. He was in the music industry at one point, he is very articulate and his reactions actually have depth to them. He has started doing Podcasts with his girl lately, and those can get quite hilarious at times.
I rarely subscribe to reaction channels even though I watch quite a bit (don't worry, I 'like' every single video) because I gotta really vibe with the people. I subbed to you because I enjoy what you have to say and your humor, Lost In Vegas for exactly what you said, and a channel called Trash Talkers because they're where I'm from, they're really trying to learn about more genres, and they are also genuine people.
When I saw Elizabeth's picture from The Charismatic Voice in your thumbnail, I just about flipped out!!! I've been watching your two channels off and on for a while now, but I learned of each independently of the other, so it's so cool to see you know of her and love her videos!! I love the different approaches you bring to each of your channel's content, even down to the atmosphere you create in your videos (you both have a very different kind of energy, and sometimes I vibe more with one kind than the other, depending on my mood) and I love how much love and support you're showing her. :-) Thank you for being such a positive influence!
Alex, great video but I noticed you said your trying to branch out to other things. I’ve been a metalhead since I was 7 because of my family etc, but I’m a self made Funk and Jazz head too! So with all things considered I have 2 songs for you to obsess over! I’ve been a fan since 2017 and I have memories of being on holiday smiling and feeling amazing when you liked one of my comments back then. I’ve always wanted to achieve your attention and bless you with tunes 👌🏻 I don’t know if my age and nationality will help but I’m 16 years old from Ireland 🇮🇪 The absolute Funk bangers I’d love you to react to are “Outstanding” by The Gap Band 😮💨 and “Something about that woman” by Lakeside 🤤 Enjoy those tunes because there’s no turning back with the funk baby! 😎
