Fun fact, Warren's museum guide told in some video that this case wasn't really happy ending. They went to the family, did what they could but they didn't get rid of the bad things happening in the house, he said that this case was so "scary" that they decided to not use every material in the movie, also Andrea, the oldest daughter, wrote a 3 book series called "House of Darkness, House of Light" that explains how the Warren's actually made things worse by being there. The reality is much more horrible than the movie. The Perron's lived in hell in that house from 1970-1980.

"it usually seems they always go after the dad first" well that's because whenever you're trying to harm someone you would usually go after the protector first, but the dad was pretty much gone on work for the first half of the movie so it didn't need to.

Girl, I’m with you on demon possession movies. I love horror but always feel so eerie with certain movies. I don’t recall what movie it was but I literally had a dream that I felt myself getting possessed and woke up right then rebuking that shit. Hasn’t happened since but nope nope nope, I condemn it 😂

The fact that this movie was mild compared to what actually happened XD One of the kids of the family that were haunted wrote a book on what happened at that house and the movie makers had to cut out and censor a lot from it. Just so that it would get through regulations. Read the book if you're interested in what actually happened according to one of the very victims itself.

This and Conjuring 2 are often known as the scariest movies but just fyi , “Annabelle: Creation” (the 2nd Annabelle movie) is the only horror movie to get a perfect 100% score on rottten tomatoes which is amazing . The movie is of course a James Wann who came in and killed it so amazingly! If u haven’t seen that one , you’ll love it.

I love this movie Vera Farmiga as Lorraine don’t get me wrong they all did amazing but that SCREAM. 👏🏾👏🏾 I think the main reason this movie is so scary is because the acting is so top tier I honestly felt the fear of the kids, the confusion of the parents, and that climax of Lorraine trying to bring the mom back.

Am I Catholic? No. Am I Christian? No. Did I pull out my Grandma's rosary and hold onto it while watching all the Conjuring Universe movies just to be safe? Signs point to yes... I’ve watched this movie so many times in my room (it’s given off a bad vibe to everyone that’s ever stayed over) and I remember one time I was sick and my family left me home alone. I was sleeping and felt someone grab my ankle and pull me out of bed, I woke up half way off the end of my bed. I started SCREAMING 😭😭😭 I checked the entire house just to realize I was home alone😭. I’m never watching this movie alone again💀💀

So glad you ended up enjoying this one and I look forward to going on your Conjuring Universe journey! I also originally thought this and the Insidious movies were tied together, so I skipped them all because I hated Insidious so much. I watched and loved this film so much that I had to rewatch it again in just a few days as it was so enjoyable and stayed on my mind. There will be a lot of highs and lows along the way (Conjuring 2 was meh and Annibelle 1 was so terrible), but it should still be a fun ride!
