Does anyone else realize what would have happened if he had thrown that baby down the well? You know what happens to dead bodies after awhile? And it’s not like people would stop drinking from the well. People would have gotten sick left and right. And Frollo would have probably said that the demon baby cursed the well before it died.
Small correction. Frolo isn't a man of the cloth in this version. He is the head of the department of justice. Disney didn't want to deal with the Catholic church being angry.
Shame that youtube is lame cause there's some actual good discussions they have in the full vod about the film but I'm glad most of the funny bits got in
R.I.P. Tony Jay (1933-2006) Voice Of Judge Frollo from Disney's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame an amazing and chilling performance singing Hellfire Judge Frollo He's Evil One of The best and most Darkest Disney Villains Ever Judge Frollo He's Really Special and Tony Jay's Voice Was a part of it. ❤️🖤💜🔥😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢
Speak for yourself. I loved Esmerelda as a child. I just avoided this movie because Hellfire scared the 4 year old me. Dad had to be with me in the theater holding my hand.
This movie had balls, like it starts with bigotry, a mother being murdered trying to run with her infant, and then the main villan almost drowning the baby and hypocrisy.
Oh man, I was that weird kid that was VERY engaged with the softer parts of the movie (though I was like that with a lot of films I engaged with in general). Esmeralda's parts, and her kindness toward Quasimodo were very important to me at the time as I had resonated with Quasimodo as a character quite heavily at the time due to severe bullying.
hunchback of notre dame is so important to me as a disabled person. 'out there' is just. . . so perfect in capturing what its like to be disabled. that isolation is profoundly damaging. and the song is so freeing to sing even if i'm not a good singer.
There are 3 things that should always be remembered. Frolo, Bells of Norte Dame and Hellfire. Doesn’t matter if you never even heard of the movie, those three things are so good they transcend the movie.
