One of the best animated movies ever made and it is Legos, which I love as a kid. The ending with Emmett telling Lord Business “You don’t have to be the bad guy” hits me saying that he is the special.

In answer to your question, the film was entirely CGI animated, but was made to look like it was made practically using actual LEGO pieces in fluid stop motion, not that you'd be able to tell by watching it - it looks so convincing and believably like it was done like one of those fan-made stop-motion films you see on RU-vid, it just blows my mind every time I see it

The Lego Movie is still awesome 10 years later! It has brilliant visuals, clever writing, likable and memorable characters, awesome voice acting, and the message about working together and being creative is wonderful! Definitely a great start for Warner Animation Group, and one of the best introductions for an animation studio!

AND in case everyone forgets: Benny the astronaut is voiced by Charlie Day, aka Luigi!

Everything is Awesom is so catchy! There are a lot of famous voices in this. 2:45 'Out of you EYES' but the last word gets lost as he cries out in pain as the soap gets in his eyrs.

The fact that this movie is so tongue-in-cheek yet still manages to be sincere while emulating the sort of vague, impromptu, child playing with their toys type story telling so well is nothing short of amazing. It's beyond S-tier writing.

"This song is gonna be stuck in my head" Just wait until you hear the song from the second movie XD (btw, the order is Lego Movie -> Lego Batman -> Lego Movie 2, it's not essential but they do reference each other in that order)

😎👍 In addition to the LEGO franchise, Warner Brothers has released a handful of other really good animated films over the years. "Happy Feet" (2006), "The Ant Bully" (2006) and "Storks" (2016) are also a lot of fun. Incidentally, the reason you're seeing DC characters in this film is because of the company that put it out. Warner animation also released the film, "DC League of Super-Pets" (2022) which you might like, although I thought it was a bit sub-par. 😉

This movie was incredible, there is also a game about it that released in 2014 called The Lego Movie Videogame
