Dream coded in Silk Touch to Ranboo so when he picks up blocks with his main hand, he uses silk touch.

To add on, Dream did this because he saw ranboo picking up blocks by hand and carrying them like an enderman and thought it was such a great lore detail.

@@coffeeclouds3498 Long story short, you mine up the block in its raw form. So if you mine stone, it'll mine up basic stone instead of cobbestone. If you mine coal ore, it'll give you a block of coal ore instead of coal. In some editions/glitches, silk touch could mine spawners but not for a while, so on DSMP most people can't mine spawners, but because of the plugin dream used to give ranboo silk touch hands, he can mine spawners by hand (although later requested to not do this by dream, mostly for game abuse reasons).

@@coffeeclouds3498 an enchantment that allows you to pick up blocks that otherwise would change form in their original form. Such as grass blocks, stone and enderchests among other things. If picked with any tool without silk touch, these would turn in to dirt, cobblestone or obsidian blocks.

Ranboo’s lore was pretty much entirely left out of the Evan videos which is reasonable because of how complex it is, it definitely needs its own video

The ending was just perfect. We were so mad at him for yoinking the gapple lmao but Techno is Techno so we couldn't do anything You will get to know about "The Egg" probably in next Evan's video although the arc is pretty old. BBH is the main character of that arc and that's why Techno was calling him

7:40 Techno didn't turn it into a pig spawner,if you place a spawner it automatically turns into a pig spawner,so technoblade didn't turn the spawner into anything,its just the game.

Fun fact: Ranboo has farmed so many totems that now you have to go 100,000+ blocks away from entry (even you first ever enter the server) spawn. I don’t think this is a spoiler. If it is can someone tell me?

@@andreaskhan5744 The second part just means I don't want to spoil Ranboo lore so if this is a spoiler just tell me. Or if you're talking about me explaining what I meant by entry spawn. I wrote it to help those know what I meant when say entry spawn because I didn't know if it made much sense other wise and I couldn't think of another word for it. Sorry this is so long....... I hope this clears it up.

for context with the end part ranboo had been serarching for a golden apple for WEEKS, had done multiple 5 hour streams where he just went off and tried to find enchanted gapples, to no avail. It took him another like 2 weeks after this adventure before he found one. He had been talking about in in this stream which is why techno immediately started laughing and why ranboo just died inside. Techno did apparently ask after the stream if ranboo genuinely wanted it and if he had said yes techno had set up that he might give it to ranboo, but ranboo ended up saying no.

There's still a lot of plot that Nate's missing from this video to Evan's videos, like the Eggpire plot so... Evan's 'documentaries' left out so much in terms of family, special abilities, and genetics that it will be quite amusing to see his reaction to Ranboo. Also I very suggest you watch Game Theory *smiley face

i have been noticing Evan’s videos leave out a lot of info even if it is a supposed to be a summary because he wants to make it a surprise and make events more conflicting in the moment for his video. Like he didn’t even mention the canon life system until like wilbur died when he blew up l’manburg and nate took it as us spoiling the canon life system for him because Evan hadn’t mentioned it before. I’m not sure for sure but i don’t think Evan’s latest summary video included the fact that ranboo now lives with techno/phil now either 😂 Evan’s summaries are good but I feel like he should explain some stuff that happens around the server more too instead of focusing just on the main characters like techno, tubbo, and tommy.

Evan doesn't usually include minor plots until they hit a major event. So I do think the egg will be mentioned in the next vid and will have some retroactive lore clarification, but the video would be SO LONG if he included all minor plots building up into major ones. His vids just go over the BIG stuff and the basic context needed to understand the big stuff, to keep his videos from being in the double digits of hours. And a lot of the ranboo dream stuff is important to ranboo lore, but is a subtler plot in comparison to the large plot. It's important, but you won't be missing out on incredibly key features if you don't know everything. It'd be better to watch ranboos lore video where he goes over it all.

The reason why techno put down the pig spawner, even though it was a skeleton spawner, is because you cannot get spawners without the /give command, and when you do you get a default pig spawner

@@NateAlyn Ranboo really is something isn't he. I think Dream underestimated the power he bestowed onto Ranboo. Most of his power is based on the fact he's half enderman, henth having silk-touch hands, can pick up literary any block, and can duplicate beds. Ranboo probably has hundreds upon thousands of pages of lore for his arc. I won't spoil the major points for you, but I doubt Evan will cover them. He talks mostly about what most people see as the "main plot" of the story, when there is so much more.

idk if chat already told you this, but the default mob for spawners are pigs, and they turn into other mobs via spawn eggs. so if you place down a spawner, it'll be a pig spawner by default.

Techno didn't turn it into a pig spawner, all spawners have a tag that determines what mob they spawn but ranboos power seems to only drop the item itself, not the tag that it carries, and by default all spawners are pog spawners, so since it lost its tag when techno placed it down again it defaulted to pig

It became a pig spawner because the default entity of a spawner is the pig, no specific reason is known, but it's supposed to be because the pig is the first peaceful entity they brought into the game, so you could consider it to be entity 1, and the spawner uses entity 1 as default.

Yea Dream actually noticed how into character Ranboo was getting (breaking blocks and holding them, avoiding eye contact, being scared of water without his armor) that Dream without being asked went and actually made a code for Ranboo so he would be able to use silk touch (the enchantment to pick up blocks without changing them) without a tool and without telling anyone so when Ranboo first started using it in front of the rest everyone was super confused. XD

I’d really recommend watching a video on ranboos lore so far. It had a lot of aspects separate/solo from the main story so he doesn’t appear a ton in evens videos. He did a recap himself but there are probably some cool edited summaries around too, and it adds a lot to why people like him and to his now increasing involvement in main story. (Anything pre April should be spoiler free enough for other plot)

Most stories that involve a hero in some way follow the Hero's Journey. The first step to the Hero's Journey is something not normal/odd about their childhood, and as most people cant think of much for that they make their parents die. It's also why the "sensei" so to speak tends to die. :) Also, Ranboo doesn't have a whole lot of yt vids *cause he hasn't uploaded in 2 months,* (he streams every day tho so it's fine) but he's supposed to be uploading in the next few days or something so maybe once he does that would be a thing to perhaps react to?

Dream coded it to read the block ID and coordinates of the block he breaks and then spawn that block in that position when ranboo breaks it. That’s why he can pick up items silk touch doesn’t work on, bc it’s not the same as silk touch

Funny thing to do to the ranboo fan base : Play a bit of the song named “fallen done” from undertale next time you react to a ranboo video (as fallen down is a song ranboo had used for a lore bit and oh boy is the lore so sad but amazing)

You can't actually harvest spawners. The thing is that Ranboo has a code attatched to him that allows him specifically to get whatever block that he mines with his bare hand. Meaning, it goes to that state. The reason Spawners become Pig Spawners is because it basically copies the block and gives him one from the Creative Menu. So it kinda gives the illusion of him having Silk Touch hands when really its like middle clicking from a creative Menu.
