Watching THE ORIGINALS for the first time**S03E17/ REACTION** 

Since the end of season 1, I've been coming back to the channel to see how close you are to the funeral scene. It sums up so perfectly the essence of each character. Great writing.

When it comes to Finn I have for more understanding of his motives than many viewers would ever afford him... His criticism over the way the others embraced and relished the more monstrous parts of being a vampire is 100% valid and correct... As far as we know, Finn was never shown to be the one feeding on entire towns or attacking everything that moves; we know for a fact that he only actually turned 1 person, Sage, and it was because he loved her while the others walked around turning people (some more than others) for their own reasons... If Finn was the only vampire, and if he was left to his own, there would've probably been only a hand full of vampires in the world, perhaps only 2, him and Sage And while there is a lot to criticize about his actions against Hope, there is no doubt about that, the reason why he did those things is explained... it is a twisted version of "doing it for the collective good", but there is a reason behind it... When it comes to his anger and hatred towards his siblings, I 100% understand... What they did to him isn't excusable, it was awful and wrong no matter how you look at it and we are surprised that he hates them so much?... Finn made a great point in this episode, about how Kol and Klaus killed everything that moved, dropped bodies and casted a big fucking shinning spot light on their every move for Mikael to find them, but Finn was the one putting them in danger? How many times did we saw or heard about Elijah having to clean Klaus' mess and protect the family from Mikael finding them because of Klaus?... Based on what we've seen, Finn only request or want back then was for them to go their separate ways, he just wanted to take off... And back then, he had no hatred for his siblings and if he wanted to end his own existence because he hated what they were, then he would've found a way to end it FOR HIMSELF, not the others... If he contacted Mikael and got him to kill him, that would've eliminated the risk for the rest of the family given that Mikael had only 1 white oak stake and it would've burned with Finn So no, there is no excuse... The line by Hayley to Klaus of: "the enemies you have are the enemies you made", applies to Finn as well... Out of paranoia they put Finn in a hell hole for 900 years for no good reason and now we are supposed to be shocked that he hates them so much?... He has done many shitty things recently, and has some blood in his hands... but it isn't even close to the amount of blood that Klaus or Kol or even Elijah and Rebekah have in their hands, and not just by the fact that he hasn't been around for most of this time, but also by the fact that everything we've seen about him in those early years tells us that he would've been very careful and very against preying on innocent people... He probably would've been one of those vampires that does the bare minimum to survive when it comes to blood

The fact that Matt killed fin and survived so long in TVD was pure luck and plot armor.

What are you talking about Sofie. Matt is an immortal being. If he threatens to originals with a gun then it's just normal.

My head canon when finn said to his family don't leave me is most likely what he said when he got daggered

great episode!they very elegantly justified finn's behavior and made us mourn him after the originals suffered one of their biggest failures.hello mystic falls,hello matt!and as for the enhanced supervamps,it's incredibly lucky that dalia didn't decide to create one!! with her abilities she could create a monster that would make even superman go back to krypton!

It makes me laugh so damn much that Matt thought he was even remotely a threat to Finn and Elijah. The only reason why the vampires left town is because the ones that left actually liked Matt and didn't want to hurt him. He has no such protections with Finn and Elijah and I really wish they had ripped him apart.

Loved this eposode. The stakes are getting higher. Always a great day when you drop Sofie ❤

For me, the third season has the best ending of the whole series

He was daggered cause he was boring that’s what they all say. He didn’t try to get Mikael to kill them in the flashback scene he told them Mikael will come for us. He wasn’t a danger to them he turned Sage so he could live with her forever. You’d hate your family to 900 years in a box

It's so infuriating that how Rebekah is not there in the Finn's death scene. Ugh! It would have been such a perfect scene with her included.

Klaus is why his family ain’t more powerful than they already is because he wanted to be inferior to them that’s why he always dagger them because imagine Elijah still leading the streaks from back then till now and kol having witches each generation at his side over the years same why he wanted to create hybrids that family would be untouchable more than just the fact that they’re the originals

How come lucien blood can heal it.. ? this is not same as how klaus heals the werewolf bites.. lucien bite cure will be u have to get the blood from all seven packs. it cannot be done quickly. before that bite will kill you.., Lucien is not born as hybrid like Klaus u missing this point.. he just drank the serum that is temporary state to posion all others..
