The last time there was a solar eclipse in Mexico City was 33 years ago in 1991, so I couldn't miss the opportunity as this might not happen in the same location for another 33 years.
The full solar eclipse was visible from Mazatlan in northern Mexico but here in the city it is a partial eclipse meaning the orbit of the moon will not totally cover the sun so one will need special glasses to be able to see it.
