I love your take on Tia. She is a teenager who felt like her parents ignored not only her, but what she wanted. Buck not only showed her that he was someone who cared for her, and would watch out for her, but that just because he was enforcing discipline doesn't mean that he was the bad guy. He didn't take her shit and stood his ground against the remarks and tantrums. Something I don't thinkk she had seen before.

I absolutely love how protective he is of the kids even the teenage daughter who is being a beast to him. lol Just a great feel good movie. Always love your reactions, your the best!!

This is probably my favorite John Candy movie. I love this character and the interplay between Buck and the kids. And wow, Buck's little monologue to the dog is really poignant.

If you haven't watched Plains, Trains, and Automobiles, you have to. It's another John Candy classic.

Leo, most people initially think TIa is a bratty little teenager when first seeing this film. I did when I was a kid lol. It is very insightful that your first reaction was to realize that she is acting out. That was not my first thought.

I have an uncle or two that are kind of like Uncle Buck. Very rough around the edges, but down to earth and will drop everything for family. This movie, above all others, makes me miss John Candy so much. It gives me the same vibes as Robin William's Mrs. Doubtfire. He just comes across as the kind of person you always wish you had in your corner. I'm glad you liked it.

John Candy was a funny person, but the stories behind the scenes of movies like this is what made him an amazing person.

John Candy is my childhood, such a great, talented actor. Gone too soon. I recently visited his burial inside a church in L.A. and spoke at his crypt about how he was my childhood, and he continues to make me laugh, even as much as he did when I was a kid, especially Uncle Buck. After I returned to my hometown, Uncle Buck out of nowhere was on T.V. at the part where I told him a ''mouse and Sheetmetal'' scene was stuck in my head. I guess maybe he heard what I said because they don't play Uncle Buck on T.V. as much where I'm from. Crazy cool Coincidence. Glad you enjoyed this iconic classic film of his.

Man there was only one John Candy, he was basically the entire world's big, fun uncle, in my opinion when he died and Chris Farley died there was an irreparable hole made in comedy. It looks like you've gotten a lot of suggestions for more John Candy movies so yeah watch em all because he's awesome and deserves to be remembered, Here's another suggestion that isn't a John Candy movie, but kind of has a good mix of feel good and comedy like Uncle Buck and I haven't seen anyone react to it yet, it's called Captain Ron, starring Kurt Russel and Martin Short, you should definitely check it out.

idk how you get to recomendations, but you GOTTA watch The Blues Brothers, Candy has a supporting role in it and it stars Dan Akyroyd and John Belushi. One of the best movies of all time, so many quotable moments and legendary artists/names making appearances. John Candy, Steven Spielberg, Carrie Fisher, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Frank Oz, Henry Gibson, Cab Calloway, Twiggy, Ray motherfuckin Charles and more all pop in the movie at one point. Literally one of the most stacked casts EVER and it's such a fun movie

John Candy's masterpiece, in my opinion, is "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" with Steve Martin. It would be a great film for you to react to when it gets closer to Thanksgiving.

Thats how you keep a family together. When you have kids and have to balance work vs life... thats just keeping the family together. You need to get married and have kids Mr V, and really find out your investing years and years into you and your kids life. Its a different way of life as a bachelor.

I did that too, just run my brush under the tap. Then I started rubbing some tooth paste into the brush so it smelled minty. I regret it now that I am older and have had to have many root canals. Kids brush your teeth at least twice a day (floured free tooth paste though)

John Candy was universally respected in real life. He was genuine.

There's a crazy fan theory that Buck was actually a mob enforcer trying to turn his life around. He definitely seems skilled at intimidating people. Plus, notice all the references to rats throughout the movie (rats are obviously people who rat out the mob). Plus, Buck is involved in gambling, which the mob was also known for. Obviously, this is just for fun, but odd how much of it actually does line up that way. Oh, and Buck also has Chicago connections. Chicago was notorious for mob activity.

This is one of my all time favorites....my own uncle was and is a lot like this so I kinda have my own uncle buck ....John candy was a GOAT and I still miss him...... ps no one has mentioned stripes, John candy, Bill Murray, harlod Ramis and many others check it out really funny lol
