All these senses become meaningful when a tabla player achieves a certain level of proficiency. When beginners start thinking about all these feelings, the proficiency comes downs. (There are always exceptions though)

Very well said Zakir bhai. There are many great players but they play good in solo but what makes you greatest is you understand how to accompany, lai ko pahechanke bajane/gane wale ka sangat karana isaliye aap alag level pe ho aur aapa tak koi pahunch nahi sakata.
Listening to what Zakir Hussain ji explained about the conversation between Ravi Shankar ji and himself on the airplane.....i just cried. At what level are these musicians???!!!! They are Rishis with that level of knowledge. Where are we? Nowhere! Just so overwhelmed.
