@Deathcheat 666 Taken on its own it's not terrible I suppose. Compared to the Novel it's poor however. But without even mentioning the novel the show on its own merits fails mainly in its plot and logic. It also has poor payoff for the story arcs it creates and the pacing it builds in the first episodes come to a crawl with all the flashback scenes. To its credit it does world building very well and has some neat ideas. The problem is that The original Novel's world building is a gold standard in "show don't tell" and compared to the show it makes it look like they could barely compare. And the ideas (like Europa) either don't have much impact on the story. There's a lot to unpack though with actually criticizing the show though. Nothing I could actually go into without several paragraphs and hours of going back to the show for reference. I remember enjoying it for the first half or so and then it just falls down by the end. Especially with Dr Manhattan. Everything about him fails hard.

There's a lot of prominent people with certain political biases and huge fanbases that released videos on it after seeing the first episode. Poisoned the experience for many.
