You don't need to turn the water off if you can't get to it. Changed mine without turning the water off (couldn't get the frig out of its' hole) and there was no leakage.
I just switched mine out and am now having a bunch of leaking issues from the filter in the veggie bin - any idea what could have gone wrong? It's such an easy swap and I was using a Samsung replacement...
Did you turn it the correct direction? Sounds like something might be wrong with the filter. Was it a multipack? If so try another one or reach out to the manufacturer!
@@MCFIXIT thanks, I think so - it felt pretty good going in. It was a solo pack bought from a third party but it's legit Samsung product. Maybe I'll just buy another one directly from Samsung. Cheaper than paying $200 for some guy to glance at it.
