Water Glassing Eggs for long term storage!  

Amber, I usually put two solo cups of lime on the bottom layer before I add any water or eggs. I always add enough water to cover the eggs by about four inches, and then add one cup to two dozen of eggs with a cup of lime per dozen of eggs. My first glassing bucket has about 8 dozen of eggs in it. Make sure to always wash the eggs when removing them to prepare them to eat to remove the lime. I will cover that step when I remove some eggs this coming Fall from the ones I stored last fall.
