Hi guys!! Please read this before you comment anything. Many of you have been saying this is lotus and not water lily. You’re absolutely right. But the procedure to grow water lily and lotus is the same. So this video is just a demonstration of growing both using the same method. And that’s what is mentioned in the title too. This is not waterlilly this is the seeds of lotus and chance of flowering this plant is below 50 percantage

What is the purpose of adding the floating ferns? Where do we get those? If I’m understanding correctly, this is just a bowl of standing water. Do we need to have any aeration pump and what is the container made out of that you put the water lily soil in? thank you

Thank you so much this is really helpful. i was just about to use sand paper on the seeds but have now found out the seeds i bought were all ready sanded down on the bottoms. saves me a lot of work :)

loved the video, very succinct and helpful, can you use aquarium substrate soil? Would they still have sprouted lily pads on this video if they were kept on water?
