Fuck that. If that thing get's within 10 meters of me.....it's an attack. The fishing pole, the bobber, the bait and the partially nibbled fish on the line can fuck off because I'm dropping it all and sprinting in the other direction without them.
@@aaronfoxworth8274 Well I know my snakes pretty well and I can just tell my the movement and shape of the body. Its more long and slender than a moccasin, if a moccasin was that slender it would be very anorexic. Another thing I noticed is when it was swimming at the top of the water it had only its head up, moccasins swim mostly above the water.
@@aaronfoxworth8274 NO it's not that is the FISH in it's mouth that makes it look white inside his mouth. Besides in a 2 second clip no one can possibly know for sure.
Everyone’s saying it’s a water snake but all I see is a neon white mouth at 0:45. The snakes are nearly identical to the point that the best way to tell them apart is the pupils which aren’t visible at that distance.
there are a lot of ways to tell Cottonmouth from the various Nerodia. This snake is indeed a Nerodia(water snake), long slender body, the way it swims with only it's head above water, how fast it's swimming, and the "aggression" in which it hunts the fish. Moccasins don't actively chase their prey, unlike water snakes(not to mention the differences not related to this video). Also most snakes have white or pinkish mouths, and most certainly almost all water snakes have similar mouths to moccasins, the difference is that only the Cottonmouth uses it's white mouth as a threat display.
@@Rryan8065 water moccasins may be able to swim under water, but they have heat sensing pits, so when they are seen hunting, they keep their heads above the water.
Can anyone tell me what I seen dark green about 9 feet long with cobra fanned out neck which was up 3, and a half feet above the water near rice patty fields? Scary as hell I froze while fishing as it passed by flicking out it's tongue looking side to side like an apex predator?
That's probably your run of the mill watersnake, they're everywhere in those creeks. And also why did you hook it lol, you could've just pulled the fish away from it.
That’s most likely not a moccasin. Because it is much more slender, more streamlined than a moccasin. And mainly, it doesn’t have a triangular head. Moccasins normally swim with their head above water. The water snake swims with it’s head submerged. And this snake is doing just that. And, it wasn’t attacking the fisherman, it was trying to eat the fish on the fishing line.
There's a video where an old man feed snakes that look just like a cottonmouth water moccasin. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LVPIM06bMJo.html
@@ghostwriter1415 yes. That’s the northern water snake, I believe. It evolved to look like a moccasin to drive predators away, fooling them into believing that it is a venomous cottonmouth.
@@imreallybadatnamingthings quit whining. The FBI raids trump's estate hahaha 😂 One Term. Twice Impeached Liar. January 6 And trump wouldn't piss on you if you were set ablaze by a angry insurrectionist.
Snakes don’t attack people unless threatened and don’t have a choice ding dongs. It’s not like they are so ignorant they can’t see a human is more likely to win the battle being 100 times larger
I think he was just going after the fish (and or bait) & the fisherman probably caught him off guard. I mean if a snake did want to attack, your never gonna be quick enough to dodge lol.
NOT a water moccasin. only a water snake. water moccasin doesn't swim like that. a water snake swims with only head above water while a water moccasin swims with most body above water
Snakes aren't aggressive. They're defensive. And that was a harmless water snake, not a venomous water moccasin. Water moccasins are thicker and have a triangular head. They also slither with their head above water at all times. This was longer than a water moccasin, too. On top of that, water moccasins don't move that quickly.
@@expiredwater4118 I don’t disagree with any of this. I wasn’t commenting on the type of snake this is, I was talking about how the snake was aggressively going after the fish. I’m in agreement snakes aren’t naturally aggressive.
If THEY are in a BAD MOOD they will chase you RELENTLESSLY, either you are RUNNING or you WILL HAVE TO KILL THEM because they will attack you IF YOU DON’T.
First off, why are you fishing in 3 inches of water with a bobber? That’s just dumb. Second, that was hardly an “attack” and finally, that wasn’t a cottonmouth
Any time you go anywhere around water 🌊 n the woods, put on snake boots. Yeah, they are a pita, but are well worth it. BTW, it doesn't hurt to carry a .22 mag. revolver especially in the woods with you either just sayin' 👍
Wasn't a cottonmouth but u deserved tht bruh..he was doing what he does but had to keep moving that lil minnow around like a cat toy. Respect wildlife man, people are f***'n ridiculous sometimes. #ClickBait
Well, you’re correct in the fact that it isn’t a water moccasin. But the fact that it was below water makes absolutely no difference. ANY snake can swim above or below water.
Everybody should give this a thumbs down for the BS click bait title. The snake was "attacking" the fishing pole with the bait, probably wanted the food. It didn't "ATTACK!!!" the fisherman himself.
Hump what anybody says..me and a friend fishing in a pond was attacked by watermocasons trying to get into boat ...we killed all three and then got out there
