Smart customer, turned off the boiler so Steve could work on warm vs. hot pipes. Yeah...I'd have to agree that solder is still the best method vs. crimp. The new plumbers need to learn how to solder vs. depend on a fitting that is less dependable. There will be a day in the future that those crimps start to leak then fail.

History has proven any water fitting that uses a rubber or plastic seal will fail in time . Just think of the rubber parts in the toilets. Crimp or push fittings still depend on a rubber / plastic seal. The industry is always looking to make everything quick and easy/ no skill required....
@davidparker9676 and this will be this man's life, for years. Some can, and some can't handle it. Kudos to the ones who won't give up on their sweetheart.
@@LenInMI That is part of the marriage vows, "in sickness or in health". It's too bad so many people abandon their spouse when it becomes inconvenient to be with them.
@@davidparker9676 Same here. My wife had a stroke and I stood by her side. She's all good now but the Cholesterol meds I can tell are messing with her...I fear the future for her
I love Steve’s videos man. 😂 “my wife is losing it Steve so you can’t really trust what she says. Anyway I’ll get out of your way just shout if you need me” 😂😂😂
@@davidparker9676 Just don't charge too much. "Honey the pipe is leaking. Do we have to call Steve to do it? Last time he said we had bats in our belfry and we had a couple screws loose". "Yes Hon call him. He doesn't carry an ipad and he charges a very fair price".
Thought maybe someone tried to bend type m tubing might have caused one of the leaks ? Not a good idea to bend type m tubing. That doesn't explain the other leak.
I don't think that was a quick fix. He had to calculate and section the copper pipe to fit that bend. Not easy unless you do it for a living..I wish Steve would have shown us that...JMO...
