I was very excited when I watched this video as the Matthew Lloyd lift works on so many levels - first, for its purpose of helping wheelchair users to get up steps, but also on the sustainability front, being solar-powered. Finally - it looks great! This needs to be rolled out across the whole country!
THERE ARE SOME AMAZING FOLK IN THE WORLD.... HUGE "WELL DONE!!!!!!!".........i suffer from gout(just diagnosed at 51)...those stairs would crucify me..of this you can be sure. May wish to take note of this...and allow gout sufferers to utilise it. There are many more than you know. Thank you guys for your hard work.
God forbid, as far as I'm concerned, this idea was conceived by my own mind, but thank God it is similar to my project only in terms of energy and furniture, and there are differences in my project in design, which I feel is better than my design.
That was my first thought as well. A modernised version of the Lynton and Lynmouth funicular, again could be powered by solar pumped water. As it is, I think it looks ghastly - and that's from somebody who is no longer good on stairs!
This thing is a joke. First water powered elevators have been around for over a centrey and were much better built than this thing. Also it would be efficient to have the soler cells charge a battery bank and use that power than using all this dumb waterworks.
