In India we fallow the BIS (Bureau of Indian standards)10500 for water quality analysis. HACH Instruments are very easy and accuracy in result.

We use the LaMotte pH Wide Range Indicator Reagent 2218-G which is part of the LaMotte Precision pH Test Kit.

The kits used in that video are LaMotte Low Cost Water Monitoring Kits: lamotte.com/products/environmental-science-education/partnership-programs/earth-force-reg/earth-forcer-low-cost-water-monitoring-kit-3-5886 The chemicals used are non-hazardous and can be flushed down the sink with running water.
