Hullo Emma, thank you for sharing this lovely painting exercise with us! I have seen many water paintings as they are easier to complete and recording and editing is much easier too! I know that it would take a lot longer, yet how about that waterfall with lots of mist as it cascades over rocks and the many obstacles that water must overcome on its way to the sea? I am just so glad you are continuing to post content over here on RU-vid when I know Patreons offer more interaction and monetary support. Thank you.

The best way is to frame it behind glass. I don't use fixative, the pigment will not simply fall off the paper. As long as it's not smudged it's not going anywhere.
