HDR files are different from normal textures and can still be loaded in ThreeJS. High Dynamic Range image files are often useful for determining the light and dark areas of an image.

I appreciate your compliment! There can be many different ways to provide movement within a scene. A good place to start might be looking at the ThreeJS examples provided on the ThreeJS website. Here is one that moves the camera around a scene, with gravity and collision: threejs.org/examples/#games_fps You can often find the code for these examples on the ThreeJS github page.
