Yep...the white on the boardwalk finished it nicely....love watching you paint compositionally with color placement....helps me alot to understand successful relationships between the two...

Just realized you are from Maine! Me too!! Great state for the seasonal paintings. Just started doing watercolor painting at 71 yrs old.. card maker, wood crafts, but just started water coloring . Have “ cheap” paints and brushes until I get a little better at it! Thanks for the commentary that is so easy to follow!

I love the picture is the entrance look where you are. Only go to Florida and it dont have the flowers. Love it. Stay Safe

I loved this tutorial when it first came out and was on my list of paintings to try and today I finally followed along! My clouds came out more stormy but my sea also has more white caps so it works. I actually really like how my birds came out! It’s hard to be so confident with the tiny strokes that are definitely going to stand out! Not sure if I’ll add color pencil, but I did try dry brushing on some white acrylic paint to the wood boards for and it kinda worked, but I didn’t want to go too bold and ruin a card I like!

Loved watching you create this community beach. The birds are fine, don’t be so hard on yourself. Thanks for mentioning the Arteza cards. I watercolor on Strathmore cards from your previous recommendation and am so glad to have them. Bought a cheaper version, definitely not smart doing that to save money. They don’t take watercolor very well. But now I will check out the arteza cards. You always have great recommendations. Thank you Lindsay.

I love it!! Never thought about pastels over watercolors. I sold my pastels because I didnt have a use for them.....now to go get another set haha. It really did add the perfect finishing touch. I love watching your watercolor videos....bring on some more🙃

Thanks Lindsay. Perfect! I want to paint something while the kids are at school but I'm going through a bout of insomnia so my brain is a blank mush. Grab my Pretty Excellent pallet and the Arteza cards and stave off these panic attacks I get with sleep deprivation. Very happy you posted this.💜

Living in the Midwest, I can visit the ocean vicariously with your beautiful art work. Of course, I can always make a trek to Lake Michigan, which has beautiful beaches and shorelines. Sorta the same, but different. Except for the gulls. We have those, too! Thanks for sharing your water coloring talents! Beautiful!

The only issue I had with rusting was a tin that came that way. I think if you paint any bare metal with nail polish (white or clear) you could prevent rust tho
