I LOVE your "very simple" cards! Sometimes I want to sit down and just make something pretty without having to be stressed, and your channel always has videos that help me do that. Thank you!
Isn't that the truth! I have always been drawn to clean and simple cards, particularly watercolor. Somewhere along the way I got caught up with all the extra crafty supplies, but have for almost a year now been systematically getting rid of the excess. It is so liberating to just sit with paper and paint and as you put it "make something pretty".
This came at such a perfect time - I signed up to make greeting cards for homebound elderly residents of a retirement community, and these will be a wonderful way to add some cheer to their day!
How do you get the paper to straighten once it’s dry after putting the wash on? I have a hard time getting it to lay flat when I want to mount it on a card
Hey Diane, I am turning it around while drying with the hairdryer so it stays as flat as possible. But if it warps too much I iron it. I have a video on that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oaQtTWgdBbY.html
This was truly worth the watch! I loved both of the cards especially the second one! The tips that you gave were quite helpful and the narration throughout was some how calming! Loved it!❤❤
I used to make my own cards. Elaborate computer generated art on card stock. Then I saw a person to whom I had given the card with cash inside discard it like used wrapping paper. The ink and time that went into that card, picking just the right words for the person I gave it to meant nothing. I don't send cards anymore. My family is no more (all passed on). My kids and grandkids only like the card for the money in it. So I use free ones we get in the mail. You probably have friends to whom a homemade card means more to them than the store bought gift. These are gorgeous Marena. I would love them.
Thank you so much, Joyce! I am so sorry to hear that. But people in general do not enjoy cards anymore. Just rare ones. I enjoy making them even if I keep them for myself. You should do what you love and enjoy it yourself. Hug
@@MarenaART interesting comment re people not liking cards anymore. I love receiving cards through the post. I assumed most people do! So much more personal than a computer generated card.
I love painting with you! Love your ideas and beautiful outcomes! 💕 So enjoyable. You’re my inspiration. Thanks so very much for your time and effort sharing your cool ideas and gift with us! Blessings my friend.💃🏼🤗
I love your cards, they are so pretty and so simply beautiful, I love things simple, this world is so crazy now, that simple is a breath of fresh air.🤗👏🏻
Love, love, love these cards! I've made the first one and turned them into Easter cards. Just found you on RU-vid a few days ago and am now a subscribed follower -- thank you so much for what you're doing!
