I love you talking to us and explaining what you do and which Brush to use. And why it really is like we are there with you .thank you for taking the time and doing this for us I enjoy each one.
Thank you for this video ~ and, please, chat away, I love it....you are a great teacher and an encourager. Be you, there is no one like you and you are appreciated
You really are amazing. I am so inspired by your work. I love your teaching style, your techniques, your lessons ... I'm grateful to have found you. You INSPIRED me!
I’m laughing with you Ellen not at you 😄 , you’re a very funny lady to listen too . Your instruction is very clear and practical , wonderful in every way .
This was extremely inspiring, I struggle with finding my creative self and find it much easier to find and use a reference photo. BUT I'm gonna do it! TODAY! It is typical for me to talk to myself as well - that's when I know I am in the zone so hearing your comment that you talk to yourself when you create was good to hear!
Loved this before you added the black touches...WOW what a difference that made!❤ Thank you for your videos, I've learned so much from you...and I love listening to you.
I accept the challenge! I love your tutorials ... and lomger videos. I have been uninspired for the last few weeks, but now I am MOTIVATED! Thanks. ❤ BTW, I won't use animal hair burshes because I am "cruelty-free" and I have watched how those brushes are made. 😢🐰🐰😾😾🤦♀️
I enjoyed this lesson very much. Especially using the rigger with black watercolor paint for outlining. You mentioned that your ivory black was lightening. I didn't have that problem with my M.Graham Lamp Black. It's just like using India ink! I love it.
Great information on how the brushes work. I have done lots of research on brushes and bought some with great points. Love them but sometimes point gets in the way. Know my next purchase thanks to your tutorials. FYI i did find yourlast video, asmr, relaxing.
Love the free form videos. Just go for it and it turns out beautiful. Happy Weekend! Notice my name change from Bradshaw to Ketron. It’s still me just with my maiden name. Been thru a challenging few months but all is good. Hugs.
pam ketron thanks! And I totally understand challenges I picked up my brushes years ago after some big ones- I was working too much on the computer so art therapy is real!
Thank you for another great video. When you mentioned the peony flower not being fragrant I had to look it up. There are so many varieties and it seems some are fragrant while others aren’t and some have to be grown a certain way. Now, I want red ones but I couldn’t determine if snails like them or not though for my yard. Haha
I commented on how wonderful your video was yesterday! I had a very hard day at work (like a lot of us do) but it was still a relaxing video! I was not going to add a negative comment to my positive comment after you had already been told a million times! Please say you will make another one though because I truly did enjoy it! Have a wonderful weekend! 💕
I like the ASMR once a week and understood it was just that the music was a little too loud. I think you did one that was just the soft voice. That was calming.
Just watching this right now but can’t wait to try it! I have the same pointy oval brush! 😊 This is so pretty! I know want a rounder oval brush as well!
So pretty! I use my liner brush a LOT, especially for small branches or any thin lines really. Looked up Vera. I'm guessing you mean Vera Neumann? I see the style you talked about. I notice many mid-century designs are coming back. Love it.
I don’t really get the ASMR thing. Maybe I’m just weird. Lol. I do enjoy, as I’ve said before, when you talk to us. You may not see us, but we are here! 😉
Ellen, have you seen the "foliater" brush from Jackson's Art? UK artist, Stephen Coates, had ProArt make it. Looks like a great brush to have for any number of purposes. Actually you can buy the 3 available sizes SML for less than $20
I didn't comment yesterday because everyone else was commenting it. But I don't mind asmr and I understand that was what you were doing. The music was just so loud you couldn't understand what you were saying. I think if you left the music out it would have been a perfectly fine video. Love today's painting it turned out beautiful.
@muted sparkyeah I don't think that would fix the problem. But sure whatever works for you. I was just letting her know that I don't think it was so much the asmr part as it was the music. Anyways it's not that big of a deal. We are all human and shit happens.
I know I was trying to make that damn music softer the app I use seemed like it worked but nope totally FAIL _LOL. I love it generated so many comments!
Hello Ellen, I make cards for a charity gift shop and want to know if it is all right to use your ideas for my cards. I do not make any profit but the shop does and I want your permission so that I am not committing intellectual property theft! :)
