We arrived yesterday in Kona for a month and I packed my brushes and paints and can hardly wait to start painting the beautiful sunset you described. Thanks so much. Roger
JUST WORK HARD MY DEAR... EVERYTHING IS IN OURSELF AND GOD EMBEDED EVERYTHING WITHIN US... WE JUST HAVE TO SCRATCH TO GET THE GOLD IN OURSELF... HOPE YOU WILL TRY HARDER AND HARDER TILL THAN YOU PAINT THE SAME OR BATTER THAN THAT... GOOD MY DEAR...
I love the almost feathery effect you achieved in painting the palms by using a small brush...............the effect is so pretty for these backlit silhouetted trees and leaves, against the intensity of the sky
Thank you for helping me in doing my homework. I love ♥♥I just saw this in youtube and click it. I was so amaze when I do it the same. I hope you should make another one. You can help other people who are in need. You can show people how great and artistic you are. You're really amazing. Loddiiii!!! (Lodi ka namin.) Love from philippines!!♥♥♥😘

Hi, you can paint on canvas with oils or acrylics but for watercolors you need a watercolor paper. So yes if you decide to paint with different medium :)
Hi Titoyan, have you watched any of my other videos? I have a lot of tutorials on how to create clouds, especially using white gouache, here's a link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y7U015EjZ18.html or this one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ltKSGvIVb2U.html I paint clouds with layers, first layer is always not much paint and a lot of water, and from there you decide if you want it more colorful, vibrant etc or just leave it more washed off.
Maria Raczynska when you know you can wipe some the color out using tissue paper. To create cloud. I try it when it is a half dry but its too late the color already absorb, when i try wipe it when its really wet the color will wipe all by the tissue but it doesnt look natural.
Hi Titoyan, I observe the paint and water and when I see it's too much and i need to break it through I use a paper towel, try wiping small amounts, like wrap the paper towel around your finger and imagine where you would like some light to go thru/make the clouds lighter, then wipe. At first I wipe it when its still very wet, i leave it at some point then go back when it's half wet, then I go over to soften up the edges (hard edges). I mainly use this paper technique when the paint is still wet and it has a lot of water, i go slow and watch what happens with the paint and water. Later again it's just to get rid of the hard edges. I will try to do another video with just a sky painting so I will show all the movements with the paper towel etc thank you
Your welcome Titoyan, I will be uploading few other videos first since I'm already working on them, but I will start working on the "sky with clouds" very soon :)
Thank you very much. I'm 69 and just discovered the amazing joy of water colours. As a kid we had presents at Christmas that "always" included a tin of water colour paints they were like 6 or 7 "disc shaped" after trying to get, eg a yellow you have to spend AGES mixing it. It would hardly show on the paper. I then hated water colours all my life. Then a couple of months ago someone gave me a tube of paints and POW !! Theres only one small problem at the moment, and that is : I wished you lived next door !! Thank you again.............Happy days.
Hi Richard 🤗Thank you so much for sharing and wow!! I wish I could have changed that experience you’ve had when you were a child. First contact with Watercolors should be nothing but fun and pleasure, I’m so glad you are back 🤗🌸I’m working on my first online classes now and hopefully sometime in the future will be giving workshops. Have a great day!
Hi Geradine, thank you very much 😋😊 and yes! Please feel free to paint this one for your personal art collection.I'm happy to teach my style/technique 🌹🌺
When blending colors like this, this is where quality paper really makes a difference. Maria, is the light color area surrounded by the black land representing water? I really like this one. A really good practice for blending colors. Now to practice painting the palm trees. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Kammy, yes paper is super important, second most important thing is to put the right colors together, then shadows, not to be afraid to use black and of course white when needed :) When I was painting it I had in mind sand by the black area.. but I liked the way the colors turned out so I didn't do anything else about it. If you rather think of it as water I'm totally fine with it :)
Which colours did you used for painting..... Except watercolor....😓😊😉nice drawing , I loved it sooooo much !.......awesome landscape painting I've never seen....
Thank you Sneha, I used watercolors in tubes, but back then I was painting with Cotman, Grumbacher etc today if I was using Holbein watercolors in tubes I would use: Payne's gray, Indigo, Cadmium yellow light, cadmium yellow pale, cadmium red deep, mineral violet and white gouache. Thank you🤗
I used hot pressed, it's very different from cold pressed. hot pressed can take in a lot more paint and water and it dries faster. When you paint a sky like this one, I recommend wet on dry, a little more paint than water to get this vibrancy, thanks!
Hello......I really liked your artwork, actually I am also working on my watercolour painting skills.....I just wanna know that what do you prefer watercolour tubes or watercolour cakes.....please reply 🙏....thanks.....love from India 😊
Hi Tanisha :) all the colors are mentioned in a video, are you able to see the subtitles? I know I used indian yellow, cadmium yellow hue, purple lake, indigo, payne's gray, mauve, brilliant red... thank you!!
Mam to be very honest you are one of the reason for me to try water colours. I usually prefer pencils and charcoals..... Even first water colour painting which i tried is from one of your collection wolf and moonlight one..... Thankx for inspiring me to go beyond sketching
The painting is very nice but as i am painting the blending have not come properly. i have made with acrylic. could u please say which type of colours you used.:(:)
Hi :) thank you so much and it all takes practice so don't get discouraged :)) All colors are mentioned in the video and back then I was painting with Winsor and Newton, Cotman, Grumbcher. Today if I was painting it again, with my Holbein watercolors I would use: Cadmium yellow light, Cadmium Red Deep, Cadmium Yellow Pale, Neutral Tint, Indigo, Mineral Violet, Phthalo Blue. thank you
the galaxy was new for me, thanks, great work, motivating for those who are artists from within but still suppressed for outer reasons and willing to make art again, great. love and peace, worth subscription.
Your videos are inspiring to me. I find them so cathartic to watch and I often fall asleep to your paintings. Beautiful work mate! I hope your channel continues to grow because more people need to watch you paint.
I've been watching your videos for a while now and I love your style soo much I am now trying to paint with you. Can you please tell me if you usually use Holbein watercolour paint? I'm using Shinhan but your colours are so intense. I love them.
thank you so much and so happy you are enjoying my paintings :) thank you! I have been using Holbein for the last 6 months or so and I am hooked... before I was using Winsor Newton Cotman, Grumbacher, Van Gogh but it wasn't the same, Holbein makes a huge difference, the pure pigments and how smooth they dry...I don't know Shinhan, where are you from?
Hello sis... You are amazing... Plz help me painting son in space where we have to paint its raise... I am finding it difficult painting with water color.. Hope you will upload video releted that topic
Hi Laine :)) thank you so much!!! Do you have Instagram :)? the fastest way to get to me is thru youtube or Instagram @maria_morjane but YT doesn't have that option so if you don't have the Instagram, you can email me: maria@loveoriginals.com :)
Hi Mahi, for this one I used Winsor and Newton but right now I paint with Holbein Watercolors and its much easier to get a smooth background with my current paints. Either way is fine tho :) thanks!
I tried this and it turned out great, I loved it so much, and my friends did too, thank you for making this video❤I'm thinking of making a different one now, thanks again for showing me how to paint this😊
