Regarding shades used..u say they are premixed. Could u be a little more specific? As beginners we need to know how we could also have the same effect. So is it just Majenta..diluted to make a lighter shade ? What are the darker lines used in the vase? Also is a touch of Cerlean Blue also used? Would appreciate a reply.
I usually mix colors on my palette based on the color of the subjects I am going to paint. By blending different hues and diluting them with water, I can achieve the desired value and tone of the color. 'Value' refers to the lightness or darkness of a color, while 'tone' refers to the cooler or warmer spectrum. In the video, I used inexpensive watercolor paints from Gen Crafts. You might have noticed that magenta, purple, blue, and even black colors have different hues, some more saturated than others, depending on the paint brand. For the vase, I mixed black, blue, and a little bit of magenta or purple with more water. For the flowers, I used magenta and purple hues with a little bit of grey and blue color. It's important to determine the color spectrum of the original subject you want to paint and try to mix colors and their tones as closely as possible to achieve the desired outcome. @Seema Goyal In this video, I didn't use pure black color; all colors were premixed. I used blue, magenta, and black colors, plus a lot of water for the glass vase. 🙂
