Beautiful page! Yes, more watercoloring right in coloring books would be awesome. There are tons of watercoloring videos, but they’re all about creating your own designs. Very few on using water colors in adult coloring books.

Yes I agree, when you search them not many are in actual coloring books. They are more like technique videos. On watercolor paper. They are good videos, but not exactly what your looking for. Thanks Alicia for watching and your support . ❤️

Jaimie, thanks for sharing this with us. I love Theresa Goodrich books, but they are so detailed, and I feel overwhelmed when I think about doing one. This was a nice and relaxing way to approach a page. I am also new to playing around with water colors. I will have to give this idea a try in one of my books.

I totally understand, her work is gorgeous, but hard to know where to start. Which can become intimidating. I have done a few of hers with watercolor, they do come together quickly. And it is very relaxing. Thank you so much for watching. 🥰

I have only just discovered this Water Colouring video and I wan’t to thank you so much for spending your time doing this for the colouring community. You have been so informative on how to water colour your colouring books and your voice over was so instructive for me to follow along with what you did, I did not feel that it went for too long. I now know that layering over initial colour makes it come alive and I have also learnt how to use my water colour markers to more effect. I have several Kerby Rosan’s books and I will now feel more comfortable tackling them with my Water Colours. Hope to see more of these on Wednesdays 🫶🌸💕

I like your thoughts about using easy watercolor on these pages.. so many coloring books are very complicated. I get stressed with so many items in one picture.

Hi Jamie! Just watched your conversation with Liz and Really enjoyed it!!...You are making perfect sense! I am one of those people who get Too detailed and although i like details there are some pages that look a lot better when you get a bit free-er😄. I'm going to use this tech on the "train on the bridge" image in this book. You are doing a great job on the pine tree!....I Like your voice overs!...The watercolor wednesdays twice monthly sounds great to me...I' m glad you did not speed it up. Beautiful finished page!! I also prefer using a standard paint brush when doing watercolor in coloring books, I feel one has more control on the amount of water. I am fascinated that you don't clean your brush between colors - I do. I also like mixing colors, but am so afraid of getting mud ha ha. I absolutely love how quickly one can cover a large grassy or watery area with watercolor and i love the effect. Your image turned out so beautifully, I absolutely love it. Thanks for a really great and relaxing video.

To fix any mistakes in watercolor, take a Mr. Clean magic eraser and cut it up into smaller squares and erase where you made the watercolor mistake with one of the squares of the Mr. Clean magic eraser.
