This week we start with some waterfowl from the thumb, and we have part 2 of our sit down with the DNR big game specialist taking some viewer questions.
Another great interview Jimmy. I don't envy Chads job but admire his willingness to come on the show and take the heat for a lot of things he has no control over. Always easy to blame the messenger and ignore the boss who sent him to the slaughter.
Jimmy makes a Great point. If people want to see change they need to go to the NRC meets and speak. It cost nothing to be there and I have went and spoke at meets several time.
I'm in Genesee County too. Biggest ting I've seen is they're in small pockets, usually along the highway where we really don't have any safe way to access for hunting purposes. I've seen a couple big ones I'd have liked to line an arrow up with.
Hey Guys! Really enjoyed the interview… tough hitting questions and thoughtful answers. Not really political… however, I would have liked to see a positive-minded question. lol.
That was a great show. Love the goose hunt. It was nice to see people actually work. Birds get them in ranch then harvest them very rare to see in this state nowadays.
Weed is illegal according to the federal government but Michigan has no problem breaking federal law there, but to manage the wolves Michigan will follow federal law, that says alot about Michigan government priority
It's sad that are deer heard is way down with crop damage permit that the, state hands out to people that, hand don't have crops . Plus doe, permits I don't a,gree with .an thank you,Jimmy for all the questions
Last week you explained deer harvest was down this year, in the same breath you said we are not killing enough does. Simply put, insurance companies want the deer herd gone or at least much lower.
If the NRC is all powerful then why don’t we have a sandhill crane season?? The feds have been on board for a while now. You won’t find one waterfowl hunter that wouldn’t love the opportunity to harvest a few. Great content MOOD!!😃🦆🦌🎣
Why air Ted’s question? This is Michigan Out of Doors, Ted abandon Michigan a long time ago. Would have been nice to have another Michigan hunters question! Really not cool to Chad either.
how come he wants to keep working on some projects that working at a 2 percent useful rate, yet uses the 2% of harvest during liberty and youth hunt aren't enough to think of changes..
Deer population in my part of Livingston county is so low it’s not worth the time. And the bait ban is silly. Deer as we all know visit each other face to face, as well as licking branches. Not to mention food plots. Especially the small ones a lot of people can afford to put in.
I believe Michigan needs to enforce the earn a buck law meaning you have to first shoot a doe in order to shot a buck also I think Michigan needs to look into getting a life time hunting tag or permit or something saying you payed one time for your license for the rest of your life I do have to say I enjoy using the app to report deer harvest
Why have I hunted for 20 years and have never received the survey? My girlfriend hunted her first year with an apprentice license and got one. Why not ask the people who grew up in this state hunting.
APR is great, but theres a lot of old school hunters that are not trophy hunted., I support admit hunters but I am not. Just let us land owners hunt state of Michigan. If they introduce apr or more buck restrictions, I’m out. Let us hunt what we want to hunt!
Again Jimmy thank you for your help and great job. But listening to Chad defend his job versus actually doing his job means the words of the tax payers who pay their wages mean nothing.
