Michigan Out of Doors T.V. can trace its roots back to the early 1950's and the pioneer of Outdoor TV Mort Neff. The show has always been about the sportsmen and women of this great state and highlighting our unbelievable natural resources here in Michigan. Editing 52 shows a year is unheard of in Outdoor television, but with the variety Michigan has to offer there is no end to the stories left to be told.
Michigan Out of Doors airs on all Michigan PBS stations in a primetime spot on Thursday nights and again on Saturday in most locations. The show is also shown on PBS in northern Ohio, northern Indiana, northern Illinois, northern Wisconsin and throughout Canada on a cable station.
With the help of PBS and our sponsors, Michigan Out of Doors T.V. hopes to promote and preserver the Outdoor lifestyle for years to come here in our great state.
Awesome the bowfishing content and opening areas on lake Michigan and lake Huron. Didn't have much bowfishing when I was younger. Of course the dnr has to tax you and license the bowfisherman to death, even though tjey have to purchase $1000 of equipment in able to do it
The DNR used to make deer count estimates but have stopped that and now only. Count wolves. Sounds like there are more wolves than deer. If you protect the predator the natives will take the hot. These wolves are doing exactly what they want to happen as part of the long term goal. Kill off the deer and people will no longer deer hunt and will not carry on the tradition of teaching the young to hunt. Rid the land of huntable animals and gun usage decreases. The number of licenses purchased is a clear indication of the sport is rapidly dying out. 30 more years and nobody will be hunting in MI. Cannot blame it all on the DNR because the feds are involved. But I do not see them fighting for the deer hunters to manager this disaster. Shortly they will be asking for money for management but all the hunters will be gone.
HI NICE TO SEE YOU ARE THERE MAKING GREAT SHOWS !!! SORRY BEEN WATCHING YOUR SHOWS LATELY ON PBS PLUS WORK BEEN BUSY TO SEE . KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK TODD FROM MICHIGAN
Bowfins fins do not turn green because of algae, they turn green when they are spawning. This is probably the most misinformed thing ever said on this channel.
