You need to get into mulching your beds! This year, with all the rain which have brought weeds..mainly billions of dandelions. I have taken a new tack this year and let them grow around my plants to before they start to flower, chop 'em and drop em around the ground. So far, it's working a treat. Feeds the soil and retains the moisture! Win, win! Lovely to see you much happier and enjoying the plot again and planning fun times😎🏴
Can you believe the weather these last few days!.....from a famine to a feast!.......got my first strawberry of the year today, ! late late! but i must say my blackberries, rasberries and blackcurrants have proper Vegged up with the rain, bigest theyve been in veg for years....and the fruit is there in massive numbers.....that reminds me i must water my potatoes...cheers dave.
Dave , the weathers changed , I filter my hose pipe water using a koi pond filter system (removes crap added to water) , you could do with a water butt set up to help , keep up the good work Dave , I took a look back at your videos from years ago and found the video where I won the Dibber you made , it was 8 years ago , but sadly lost the Dibber after a shed/workshop fire 3 years ago..
Hi Dave, I wondered if you could help me? I end up with a lot of grass clippings from my lawns. My question is, can I compost them without adding lots of brown material. Hope you can help. Regards, Paul.
seedless grapes have a genetic anomily where the hard seed coat doesn't develop.. on a musical note, check out cigar box guitars, I just got a 3 string, endless fun!
@@dd7521 nah, just Nature doing it's thing, probably selective breeding, plant breeders would have to grow out thousands of plants, maybe hundreds of thousands, looking for some differences, sweeter fruit, different colours, frost tolerance, structure etc. then cross breed/back cross to stablise the genetics or clone and graft, like every Bramley apple tree in the world came from one single tree grafted onto different rootstocks
Hi pal you ok? Your not answering comments im thinking of you I water through a pipe leaving ground dry and getting water to roots as always happy gardening Richardx
