2024. I can’t comprehend anyone who doesn’t appreciate the wonderful accessibility we have to media and information now. I remember not being able to sleep back in the early 2000s and just having to lay there until the morning. Now I can watch videos like this or learn about anything in existence and it’s truthfully restful.

We think the bird song sounds to us a like a blackcap. We like the year 2000. The walk looked very relaxing, just what we also like. Nice one Cool Dude.

What a beautiful, peaceful, Kentish stroll. The late 80s are very nice memories for me, and without any stupid back pain.. I love birds but absolutely miserable at identifying their calls... vultures? sorry, Marek... no idea. I initially went with Toad but second-guessed to Badger.

We went for a walk around Teston a few weeks ago, so you seem to be following me around! We didn't go as far as you, mainly due to mud, but it looks like we should have gone further. I'd quite like to try a proper long walk along the Medway, as there seems to be a path that runs most of the way from Rochester to Tonbridge. As for years to repeat - 1991 was a good one for the first year at Uni which is fun. Not sure I could cope with the vast intake of snakebite and curries on repeat though. Maybe 1977 when I was 4 and before the pressures of school and everything is fun and interesting at that age.

That is a pathway I have been along many times. Sitting atop the WW2 pillbox @6:26 with my lunch is a very peaceful vantage point with a relaxing view. Glad it wasn't muddy for you as it can be a bit treacherous at times 👍 I wrongly guessed at Badger 😕

My year would be 1999 because I met one of my favourite people and I got to go to loads of brilliant gigs(including Suede where I got to touch Brett's sweaty back. Phwoarr! Ha!) Oh and I'm extremely wary of swans since one attacked my son when he was little. Lovely walk Marek. I don't think I've ever been to Kent.

@@cdwc Yes, I remember you saying. I don't know how you feel about autobiogs/biogs but Brett Anderson's are quite interesting. The first one did make me want to throw it out of the window a few times because he's bloody whiney in it but the second one actually has a sense of humour.

Hi Marek. 😃👍 (...and Sunglasees Marek ). That seemed like a nice peaceful enjoyable walk mate. Very pretty around there I'm told. I'm not good with 'Bird Song'. Could it be an Albatross? 😳 Or maybe a Terradactyl? Qotd idea 1/... What famous people, would be at your perfect dinner party. This would include people still alive or passed on. 2/ If you had a time machine, what band would you go back and see. My year would probably be 2000. 29 years old. Financially stable, car, house, Wife, job, and finally an accepted adult human. 😆 Can't you get an injunction on that Sunglasses Marek bloke? He seems to follow you everywhere ! 🤣 Love the channel. 😃👍

It was late in NZ, I fell asleep while watching this video and had to watch it again in the morning. I’m not sure where I got to when I passed out. But I feel slightly violated. I would probably never usually sleep with a pigeon hater and all his followers at once. My RU-vid kept playing and it then took me to watch Nebraska boys sucked out their home by a tornado, cleaning the dirtiest tennis court in the UK , and the history of the British ancient monarchy. This is where your algorithm took me. Question’s of the day… if you were a pigeon what would you eat? If you were a pigeon where would you sleep? If you were a famous Bushranger would you want a young Mick Jagger to play you or would you be terribly disappointed? Hope you agree these are important questions. $9 pounds for a painting! That’s fancy pants pricing.

Maidstone is the name of a town near my city. Looking at UK maps I've noticed quite a lot of names match names here in Canada and it makes me want to visit them all! Great shot you got of the bird flying in front of the sun halo

I would say my favourite year would be 97 when I moved from the Isle of Wight to Portsmouth or 99 when my daughter was born. We had a long weekend in Maidstone a few years ago and stayed in a Premier Inn right Next to the River Medway and walked a bit of the footpath

1985. Was fit and healthy, with almost no responsibilities. Endless days (especially in this case) of riding BMX bikes, going to the nearby beaches, playing "Dungeons & Dragons" with three good friends and learning the ins'n'outs of the Commodore 64 computer. Possible question: You're only allowed to put the same thing on toast for the rest of your life, not including butter/marge. What topping do you choose?

I'm moderately confident (80%ish) that the bird song is a Blackcap. I wouldn't bet my house on it, but I would say it confidently in front of another birder.

I believe the answer would be 2018 or 2019, I still had both Chandler (my German Shepherd) and Rory (our Husky) it was also the last decent year before my chronic health issues reached a new plateau. Looking back more broken then before, and with no dogs now though the argument can be made that I should have another service dog if not for my current economics I realize just how much I time I squandered that year without realizing it then. Sorry for the sad answer. Also if you want a question of the day how about; "If you could live inside any story which would it be?"

It's an interesting question but I dont think I'd like to be stuck in one year, even if it was good at the the time the fact that all the same events keep reoccurring would become tiresome. As a question idea, what toy or game from your childhood would you like to bring back? Nice walk, do you think fish enjoy going down rapids/waterfalls? Is it like a sudden short slide for them? Great painting too.

My favourite year is 2025. I'm very bad at remembering the past, and this year is still happening. So yeah, next year, fingers crossed (I'm planning to walk the West Highland way with my sons, to celebrate turning 60!) I would have a lot of options to choose from if you ever asked "What was your most embarrassing young person moment?".

Despite the rose tinted specs aspect of yesteryears, I'll stick with 2024 or thereabouts thanks. Today is far from perfect, but I'll trust modern medical science, car safety and that sort of thing over polio, the Sinclair C5, etc. Besides, any year before 2020 and there'd be no CDWC, and where's the fun in that?

I hate swans. 🦢 Dickheads. I saw one terrorising & intent on killing these much smaller ducklings on the canal. The chase carried on for a good 5 minutes. Serene and beautiful they may look but they’re in league with Beelzebub in my opinion. Question of the day: If you came across an ice cream van which lolly/ice cream would you pick from past or present? The correct answer is Funny Feet. I know. It looks weird eating them.
