My innova was water logged for 4 hours but marvellous thing is water doesn't entered in the housing engine gearbox and housing were completely safe only thing was meter Ecu and ecm were have to replace whilst i got parts for very cheap in second hand market luckily no major issue was there and i got everything done within 20k ( proud Toyota owner 😇)
Just imagine how fast these people could work on cars if they had the proper tools. Just stuff like a car lift, engine pulley and air tools can make a big difference.
Classic example of what is called Hydrostatic lock or hydro lock damage. Water is incompressible and when water enters engine, the crankshaft tries to compress water which is impossible. Result - connecting rod damage.
@@sohailKhan-yd9fe In case of waterlogged cars - Dont crank the engine even if it appears dry to look - inside and out. You need to open the injector or plug to let the water come out - then flush out the cylinders and intake manifolds to clear debris and then once all is clear - you can try cranking - without any of the plugs - so water - if any - can come out and the pistons are not trying to compress water. Since its complicated take it to seasoned people like Nakul bhai's workshop.

These bent connecting rods are a result of attempting to start a waterlogged car. Never attempt to start a waterlogged car. In a waterlogged car, there is water in the compression chamber. Water, unlike air, is incompressible. So when we attempt to start the engine, piston try to compress but water in incompressible. Result is bent rods. Call a service technician, get the spark plugs removed and crank the engine. All the water will come out through spark plug holes and there will be no bent roads.
Bro you explained what you did without showing how did you do that like timings and others assembling points. We are more interested to see the thing going on practically rather theoretically updates....
Combustion ke process me intake stroke ke dauran jab air ki jagah paani aa jaata hai, tab wo piston ke head par girta hai. Compression stroke ke dauran jab piston upar move karta hai, tab wo paani ko compress nahi kar pata, na hi ignite kar pata hai kyuki paani ki density fuel se zyada hoti hai. Combustion ho hi nahi paata paani ki maujudgi me. Compress na kar paane ke kaaran piston puri tarah se upar nahi ja paata aur iska load connecting rod par hi aata hai, jis wajah se connecting rod bend ho jaata hai. Kuch cases me connecting rod toh bend nahi hote lekin head gasket fat jaata hai. Lekin aisa tabhi hota hai jab engine me gaye huye paani ki maatra zyada hoti hai. Agar bohot kam matra me paani aata hai intake stroke ke dauran ya contaminated fuel se, toh wo combustion ke wajah se vaporise hokar exhaust se nikal jaata hai. Is case me shayad company walo ne dhyan nahi diya ho ki iske air filter box aur pipelines me paani maujood hai, aur bina saaf kare hi start kar diya ho. Isi wajah se connecting rod damage ho gaye honge.
Bhai why didnt you drain oil first? You guys didnt even pull out dip stick to check oil condition before cranking it. Strange this happened in your workshop.
We did drain the oil the very first day when car came and changed it with new one... The sludge that I showed was kind of stuck to the bottom of the oil sump.
So, this car is a water loss case now, major companies will deny fixing this car because they can make the engine run but other electrics including sensors are safety equipment are also damaged in this scenario. This car will drive but what part will fail at what point, no one can comment on that. in a lot of cases, owners of such cars will put these cars on sale right after fixing the, coz they don't want to risk their own life but don't care about others and then the amount which they will get from the insurance company will be a lot less than what a buyer will pay. If you are in market looking for a used car be careful about these sort of options.
2 feet water is normal/not bad , i drove through such water maybe 5-10 times nothing happened , these cars get damaged due to flood like rain water logging, some times cars start floating in such conditions.

The sludge that I showed was kind of stuck to the bottom of the oil sump. connecting rod was already bent and making noise. That was the reason why car came to us after going to company. Because company gave an estimate of 5-6 lac for the same work.
1st of all water clogged car engine is not supposed to even crank without opening the complete engine n through inspection of all parts as piston and piston rings seized coz of rust. And initial cranking can damage the whole engine. I don't know why mechanic did the hand cranking n motor starting. Changing engine oil is not the solution. U r lucky that only piston connecting rod is bend n piston crown is broken not the crank shaft ,cam shaft or main bearings. I hope next tym do the inspection 1st instead cranking n checking the movement of engine.

Even a kid can have an idea to change engine oil of flood effected car, what kind of service station are you, disgusting to see this, i can say like its 60% chances that due to engine oil mixed with water that issue happened because when you show first crank that sound was not their. Hats off !!
