The ‪@Waterlooguitars‬ ideology stems from the love of depression era guitars. Bill Collings wanted to recapture the love of these poorly made instruments by building them them in a professional way with skilled craftsmanship that the 1930's & 40's guitars never had. The WL-12 is a wonderful recreation of some of the first mass produced guitars that the United States ever saw. Built with the vintage inspired X-brace, this guitar yields a great amount of note definition with clarity and punch whether you're strumming or picking. Here's Jesse with three of the FIVE WL-12s we currently have in stock.

I love Mahogany. My avatar is me playing my 1937 Martin 0-17 back in 1980 I was 25 years old. I’m 70 years old now

I have the Waterloo WL-12 with the gorgeous 3 colour sunburst and killer flamed & striped maple back and sides. Lot's and lot's of Mojo and a great neck profile. The guitar is full of tunes to be found. Even my cat likes it😺

I love all hog guitars. I wish the Waterloo mh guitars were a bit softer sounding. I love the soft woody tone of a Martin 000 15 but the Martin neck hurts my arm. I need to hear a Waterloo WL 14 MH in person. What are your thoughts on the comparison? I like dead strings and a woody mahogany sound but still with note articulation. Basically a Jeff Tweedy sound. I know he has a regular WL 14 and original Kel K. I recently tried the WL S and found it almost too punchy and in your face. I want a sound that spreads out evenly and sits back. Anyway. In search of that!

love your videos and quirkiness. all amazing guitars. the maple and hog had strong G overtone? harmonic? to my ears which became annoying. Not my tinnitus. small body 12 fret gonna have to wait. just obtained huss & dalton DS crossroads.

How was this mic'd and with what mics?

This was mic'd with two Rode NT5s, one around the 12th fret (but also used to pick up vocals), and one pointed at the bridge. Thanks for asking Jordan!
