Hi James and Kemmie, I built and fitted my Cat ( 38foot Prout ) 25 years ago in Durban South Africa, sail all around the east coast of Africa for 5 years until my girlfriend fell pregnant , sold the boat to put my daughter through school and college , You guys are absolutely the best I have to say everytime I see Kemmie she reminds me of almost an exact twin of Scarlett Johansson- May the weather always be with you
quickly becoming one of my favorite channels because I really like how you guys keep it real you show the good with the bad. There is definately a common theme for those that succeed and continue cruising hard workers and very persistant. Keep up the great work. Troy from Free range sailing and James are my favorite how to guys hands down.
Very nice presentation; truly felt the honesty and sincerity in what you were saying. Nice also for Spectra to get involved with you, I now have a bias in favor of them if and when I ever need a water maker.
Kim, you are fantastic! One very smart lady who comes across as a real pro, and especially when one realizes this is not your native language. You just keep on impressing us.
Kimmi & James, i love that you focus on sharing info instead of just showing skin. Always looking forward to your vids there's new things to learn. Sapphire skies always.
Sorry brother I love both you guys but when she talks I am just intrigued I think her voice and how she speaks is very attractive I love listening to both of you you're both very intelligent love watching your show.... you're one lucky man you have an amazingly beautiful woman with a crazy amazing smile......
Your videos have come a long way from when I viewed your first video. Very well done and very good information. I have since subscribe and always look forward to your next video.👍👍
You know you are good when I just spent 14 minutes watching and being entertained by a damn video about a water maker for a boat knowing I damn well Am not going to be leaving land anytime soon!😂
Spectra rocks, my Cape Horn extreme is serving me well on my Leopard 👍 the TDS on mine runs at around 180. I agree I would not cruise without a watermaker and decent refrigeration
hey James I used to just watch because your bird is just fine but NOW It’s because she is fun and smart and has. Become a good presenter of your Chanel . Aaah you ok too .
One popular channel still uses a generator. Its a monohull though, they can have a large fresh tank. Not sure what the most popular does, not heard them talk about a water maker. They seem, lately, or were, hanging around the Bahama's all of the time. Will be interested in the numbers.
I have a spectra and 600w of solar on a 38ft mono. It covers all my electrical use including the watermaker and cooking all electric. Step up your solar panel situation and ditch having to look for propane too, it's awesome!
Awesome! A few months ago I purchased a used 1981 37 foot Endeavor sailboat and I plan to do the same thing, go electric off of solar!... Been wondering how much solar I would need so thanks for the tip of 600 watts!
You can not replace a bad feed pump with your house fresh water pump. Two different pumps altogether. The Spectra motor is a continous duty motor, your fresh water pump is not. If you swap them out performance will not only be poor but the pump will shut down within about 10-15 minutes once the thermal switch is activated.
Great video. I have looked at Spectra also and I am leaning towards them because I want to run it off solar power. Just wish they were a little cheaper in price, ouch!! Fair winds to you both.
I have been enjoying the increased quality of your videos. I look forward to watching your adventures to the west! And thanks for the water maker info. I recently upgraded my home HVAC system and went with a higher tech version and recognize a lot of the same benefits as your water maker. If I'm in the market for a watermaker I'll definitely consider your model.
I've been watching from the day u started working on the boat in Florida, love your videos I'm working on a little boat will have a electronic water maker when we start on out journey to the Bahamas will let you know how it goes . Love you guys
Love your video's guys. You two make a great couple. Dude you do a great job taking care of your boat and your girl , Kimi is a beaful and fun young lady. Keep up the videos guys. Looking forward to the next one. Ohio river tug boat Captain.
you two compliment each other well! My favorite sailing channel. I also watch Sailing Nandji and Sailing doodles.... wtf happened with Bobby and Laura?! Everyone is slamming bobby on her new channel but she likes to party and be naked way too much, beauty only carries you so far! And Nandji, the youngest sailors and they get shit done, like you do. James knows his shit!! Keep it up And I am so happy you got rid of that fold up dingy!
You two are an awesome couple. kimmie you’re a goddess in looks and personality . With that said, James, you need to do whatever it takes to keep her more than happy. It seems like you are doing that, just never forget it. You found yourself a keeper to grow old with. I love how you two keep it real and always are interesting. I’ll be a subscriber as long as you’re making videos. I would become a patron, but I’m still in bad shape financially since hurricane Urma, 2 years later and we are still not back in our house yet.
Great vid spectra looks like a great product. Thank you Zingaro! You two are looking amazing BTW very jealous as its fall here and wont be many more days to get our little sailboat out on Huron. Will be RU-vid sailing most of the winter.
Yo look dawg, your next purchase needs to be 100 percent, absolutely no hesitation, like run as fast as you can and put a rock on Kimmies finger! Lol... but seriously dude! Y'all are perfect together! Cheers!!
Great video, look forward to the comparison calculation video. I'll be sailing on a budget but don't want to skimp on important things like this but also don't want to skint myself spending in the wrong place
I have no water making question. My question for Kimmie is how are you not studying quantum physics or a CERN project? The way you learn and the way your mind works amazes me. James, brother, no offense but I could also see you working on a CERN project because you too are super intelligent but you wouldn't be able to get the system started because you smoked a bowl and forgot to twist the E-stop on the control panel to reset it...now, ask me how I know. 😂😂😂!!! I love you guys! I think you make a GREAT couple! You compliment each other. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
I would think you could fill your tanks anytime it rained if you had something you could set up when appropriate. You might even sail towards rain when necessary. Is that not an option?
Great video as always guys. We really enjoy your channel. One question: why did you choose the 150C, and not the 200C? Are you planning on some colder water cruising grounds, or is there another reason. Thanks for the great videos, they keep us motivated as we refit our own cruising sailboat.
I just think about all those mariners of old. Having drinkable water on board was the difference between life and death. They would have paid any price to be able to make water they needed whenever they wanted.
What is the TDS of ocean water before it goes through a watermaker? I have a 7-stage reverse osmosis deionization water filtration system that brings city water w/ a TDS of 150-170ppm down to purified water w/ a TDS of 2-3ppm. When you consider human body is 60-80% water & human blood 95+% water, a watermaker is essential equipment imho.
I don't own a boat anymore and I probably won't again. I don't need a watermaker either but I watched and enjoyed this video as always. Have you heard from Lucie? how is she? Is she coming back? Stay safe.
Is it really a water maker? I think the water was made long ago. Lol I am all the way down with more naked time in the woods! Unless there are mosquitoes.
James a quick math question and maybe Kimmy knows how many dinosaurs had to sacrifice their lives to make all this fuel. I'm sure you have this thought out.
Always a pleasure. Note: I think Kimmy is GORGEOUS, but I appreciate that she doesn't flaunt her body in the thumbnails. I have just about stopped watching La Vagabond due to Elayna's constant exploitation of her bare skin. Classiness is important to me. There is a fine line between classy and tacky.
I'm still very pleased with LA Vagabonde just the way it is, my opinion each to their own!... It's the sailing gecko chick that is too fleshy flirty for me.
@@stanRmeyer I'm sure I don't object to your having your own opinion on that, so what's with the "thank you!"? By the way, it's "too fleshy flirty", not "to". On the other hand, I can't think of ANYBODY who is more "fleshy flirty" than Miss Lone Star. Just sayin'.
man, I like your videos and find them inspiring because you keep it real, but do a better video when sponsoring products. Don't just add the salesman presentation. Maybe actually go over the water maker you go and show it in action.
