I have this shoe for landscaping and irrigation and the traction is unreal. However, as I have found with the fresh foam X in the 1080s, the cushion in the footbed causes me pain in my outer mid foot. Removed the new balance insoles and replaced them with Cadence low arch mid soles and that solved the problem, as it disperses the pressure from my bony feet so I’m not sinking too much in some places and not others. Great shoe.

I just got the Mid Wide last week because I didn't like the colors on V7 GTX. Still waiting on the adidas Terrex Free Hiker 2 Gore-Tex to come; I might have to return the adidas.
so which is better between terrex hiker 2 and the GTX mids? I'll prob end up with both because the adidas sale for the hiker 2 was too good to pass up 😂
I have the NB Hierro V6 Gore-Tex and I love them thanks to the fit and the comfort all-around (cushioning and upper). I've been looking for a boot-like version and this sounds like a great option for heavier inclement weather in the city. I have the Air Max 90 Gore-Tex for the lighter inclement weather option, but they messed up big time because of the tongue being barely gusseted, so water's definitely gonna go into the socks. The ACG Gaiadome boots, I'm really skeptical because I heard comfort all-around is almost non-existent and from trying it on, that synthetic upper on those is harsh on the toes with no give.
