I used it on my mx5. My roof had mold inside too. I cleaned the mold off with anti-bac fairy washing up liquid, let it dry, then cleaned outside of roof and fabisled it with two coats. No more mold inside and weatherproofed outside. Would use again.
We have similar products all over and especially at Canadian Tire where you can buy camping gear and everything under the sun. It should be readily available but with different names and slightly different chemical makeup.
Fabric hoods are 3 layers. Top and bottom sheet with a rubber core in the middle. Using incorrect products will shorten the lifespan of your roof. Those that contain high petroleum distillate will attack the rubber core and rot it. Turning it into a powder and the acrylic material will shred.
When you apply product you said need to be wet on wet then what you doing 1 cote whole roof and then 2 and 3 and optional 4 . Or you doing a little bit of car and doing 2 later and then 3 layer and moving to different are of the car ??
Hi. In a nutshell you dont want to let the product dry when applying across the roof as it will dry in patches. Once you have one coated the roof its best to leave it for 24-48 hours depending on warmth of day. Then apply a second coat.
@@CB-RADIO-UK then what do 1 coating wait 24h ? And new coat next day and so on? When applying I move from 1 area to 2 and doing whole roof like this ye ?
Unless you apply the second coat straight away wet on wet yes you have to let it totally dry. I have never applied more than 2 coats myself and seems to last all year.
Constant maintenance! I had a sun roof on a car that was fabric, I used something that maybe I shouldn't have, but it sealed it completely, but I wouldn't recommend anyone uses it if they care about their car, my one was heading for the scrap heap in a few years, so I wasn't worried, it was for the building trade for waterproofing . Anyone in the building trade can guess at what it was, it totally waterproofed the roof. It looked like a newly polished car after rain with the droplets sitting there until I braked and it would wash the windscreen on the way past lol. I am not going to say what I used as I would not recommend using it on a good car.
