Quick video of fabsil waterproofing your bivvy couple of tips on how to do it what to use and hopefully answering a few questions ive been asked tymstv97@gmail.com #fabsil #waterproofingbivvy #waterproof
Yeah thank-you for my free gift bud .I absolutely love it ...Will be using that many times ....Great product to have as part of my kit ...tight lines bud 🎣😁
what would be the odds i was looking for a video for doing my bivvy and i just bought the exact same one 3 days ago from a local regenerate store time to waterproof it now ty for a informative video tights lines ;-)
Thanks for this review has helped. I got a cheap tent for my first camping trip only to find out afterwards they are prone to leaking. Will this stuff fill in the seams or would I need extra proofing for them
Would this work on the sides of a campervan pop top roof ? What would you recommend to clean the canvas first .. there seem to be mould marks on a few areas of the canvas. No doubt this product could be sprayed on too .. it would be easier for large areas .. i think thanks !
Hi I once tried spraying, never again I prefer to paint it on I’m sorry I can’t comment on the camper as I’ve never done one of those, I have done a gazebo in the garden and it worked on that material It’s best to clean before putting in Thanks 👍🏼
Hi thanks for the reply regarding the fox 2 man I have the 2 man armo like this I waterproof it each year but this weekend been out and the outer skin has just leaked like its had nothing on do you think it's the age of the bivvi over 10 years old fabsil has always worked for me in the past it was the winter wrap that leaked might try it one more time with fabsil if it still leaks then look at the fox
wtf i was waiting for the noddy theme tune to start up fooking shocking dont waterproof a waterproof yet he just did it lool this the sort that says the fox frontier is amazing and fabsils that as well only 20.000 SH loool to funny he will learn over the years
Hi Thanks for your comment I’ve not fabsil my frontier as it dosent need it but this bivvy is getting on a bit and was letting water in so it was time to do it It’s everyone’s own opinion if they do it or not but just showing how I do it incase people want to so they can save money instead of buying a new one Cheers
Hi Ive no idea as mine are still intact but it will work on material so that most of the bivvy anyway Do you know what thinking about it as I was typing this I’ve also used this in a gazebo we use in the garden and that hasn’t got taped seems and I fairly sure that was ok last time we used it in the rain Hope that helps Cheers 👍🏼
Hi Mines usually mud I think ( don’t really check😂) I usually if bad just wash it with water depending how bad, bucket and sponge or hose pipe sponge or carefully pressure wash but not to close if pressure washer I think if it survives this year it may need a really good clean so I may have to look into it aswell but I’ll probally use a bit of fiary liquid to clean it then pressure wash it off but others may have better ideas Thanks tym
@@TymsCarpTv that's what I was thinking using a bit of Wark soapy water as I'm assuming sap is kinda like wax so If I can warm it up hopefully it can disperse a bit better and from the inside it looks like mold when I look up lol
Hi I’m sorry I’ve never owned a Nash titan so I couldn’t comment safely, but, what sort of material is it, if it’s like this tracker v3 I’d feel ok to do it if it’s a different material then if it was me I’d just do a small section at the bottom of the bivvy let it dry and see how it is I always do them on the outside never on the inside Cheers
Hi this is my first year using fabsil gold I usually use the ordinary fabsil Due to house move I’ve only been out once in the rain which is when I filmed the update to this video ( have a look at that one I chuck bucket water on it ) So far I’d say it’s a bit better Cheers👍🏼
@@TymsCarpTv awesome video by the way never done it before so this be my first time had ma bivvy out this evening just gave it an wipe over so it’s now dry and clean ready for tomorrow as hopefuly to get out of work early so gives me all afternoon on it :)
@@simonphelps8924 thanks Don’t panic at the smell it does go away just let it completely dry before packing away I also did a video chucking water on it after I fabsiled it have a look at that one Fabsil update & water test / waterproof bivvy / carp fishing ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6UHLFrr1JaY.html
@@daveshaw5293 hi I can’t find anything about it so All I can say is I’ve never owned one so I’ve never fabsiled one But they use fabsil on all sorts of tents aswell If it was mine and it needed to be sealed I would try a small patch at the bottom first and let that dry then test it with water that way you’ll know as you can put water on both sections treated and not treated Thanks
Hi yes you can but personally I like to use the brush so I can put plenty on and rub it right into the seams I did try spraying once it was quicker but I didn’t feel it done as good a job and it went everywhere and used more so now stick to paining it on Cheers👍🏼
